Wahoo, got the last BNF at the LHS.

Is the prop shaft the same diameter as the Sukhoi?

Also, was it supposed to come with a spare prop?

Shame on ya! Training yer poor mother to report on the airports doings like that.

Well, actually I'd already ordered and recieved the flight jacket & hat a week or two ago. Excellent place to get flight jackets and such. The jacket I got is the B-15 cloth jacket w/ removable furr collar. Was a great price for a great jacket.

Looks good...

And it will be getting "cold" here soon.

I wonder if I could trick the better half into getting me one as a gift...

Nope they dont come with spares. I had a couple strikes on a few landings. Its a pretty tuff little prop.

It is not the same as the Sukhoi though. The P-51 has a 5" prop and I'm not sure the pitch.

No, I had no spare prop with mine either (unlike in the Sukhoi box).
[The stock P51 prop is not the same as the stock Sukhoi one.]

Picked up the second to last one at the LHS tonight. Charged it up and took her out to a very small field. My first micro so it took some getting used to. The slight breeze didn't help much. Still, managed a couple successful flights after adjusting the trim. Needed lots of trim on the elevator to keep it from doing loops. Need a bigger field until I get comfortable with how she handles.
Lots of fun, plan to take her out again in the am.
Have half a dozen batteries on order from HC.

Question....

Watched a video on youtube and producer mentioned moving
tail wheel on the rudder to main fuselage due to potential damage to rudder
if wheel is left on there....

Could anyone comment on this yet?

Obviously you would lose the steer-ability but is this worthwhile to do or not?

I moved the tail wheel from the rudder to the fuselage on my Sukhoi after I broke the rudder off on a not-so-hard landing.

I would recommend you do this if you dont want to snap your rudder off.

How long is the takeoff roll? If it's as short as I would think it is, is ground steering even that important? Besides, moving the wheel onto the fuse will give it a more scale appearance. :P

Nah it will pretty much take right off with 70% throttle or so. Maybe a few feet rollout and it's airborne.

Anyone figure this out? I don't want to take the stickers off and find it didn't really do anything.

Once you remove the stickers yes you can get in. There is also some clear tape to cut through.
