If the local shops could sell me that battery for $5 I'd but 5 just to support them. But I can import a similar battery for $2 myself.

I don't see how having E-flite written on it suddenly makes it work 7 times as much.
Very good point and I agree 100%

and American companies always find a way to price themselves right out of the market... Horizon has pretty good prices on aircraft though ($240 for a BNF 109 for example, is a pretty good deal), its just stuff like batteries that get a little outrageous. It actually hurts the hobby, b/c people see that a replacement lipo cost them $60 on the horizon site, and dont know its really $25 if you know where to look, and get sticker shock.

also, my vote for next micro is a stearman bipe

I agree the price is way to high for the four port charger. Almost a rip off.. But I want a second one cuz it rocks. It can almost keep me flying non stop.. Almost.

I cant imagine only having a single port charger.

Which model comes stock with the 150 mah battery?

Ref: Charger for single cell 70/110/130/138 mAh Lipos for Ember, Vapor, and I hope P-51 Mustang UM.

Consider one of these, works great off either an AC adapter or a 3S Lipo Pack (2100 or higher). Got one of these at SEFF-2009 and wouldn't be without it. I particularly like the ability to select the proper charge rate. You can charge 4 S1 mini Lipo's at once, all different rates. To date, the 110's seem to do the best for my Embers, managed a 19 minute flight the other evening.

If the correct price is 70 bucks, then that is a joke.
You can buy a pretty nice charger for that much and daisy chain them with a balancer. Of course the batteries would have to be the same mah.

Yep, that charger is over priced - there's maybe $2 of parts there.

Just use the single port stock charger, solder together a four port parallel adapter & bobs your uncle. Parallel charging requires no special circuitry, all batteries take only what they need.

You can even open the stock charger & turn the charge current down. This has been covered to death in the Micro Sukhoi thread, and just about every micro thread.

I'd provide links, but I'm writing this on my mobile phone, and it's a pain in the digital arse.

it's Earth bro. Hong Kong Malaysia Japan Indonesia India China. It's all the same, it's called free trade - take advantage of it.

I'd support the local shops more, but when we're drivin around in our 4 wheel drive flyin $1000 rc planes with our private or public health care and our Chinese friends are workin for two bucks a day or whatever I just stop caring!

Yay for cheap labour! I wouldn't work for less than $20 an hour. Oh the hippocracy!
