Display Teams

Without being partisan, out of the various military air display teams, which one do enjoy the most?

Personally, I find our own Red Arrows a little tedious, perhaps because I've seen them so much, but I do think some of their close formation stuff is as good as I've seen anywhere.

My personal favourite is probably The Swifts, followed by The Blue Angels, but I do have a lot of admiration for the Russian Knights, thats a honking big aircraft to do tight display stuff in.

So who gets your vote?

Based purely on skill and artistry, rather than nationality

Don't forget Thunderbirds.

I'll have to do some research before giving an answer. Never heard of the Arrows or Swifts. Never watched the Knights either for that matter. However I think I have to deduct points if they've ever crashed into a crowd.

The Swifts were the hardest to find. There is also a team called Swifts...with a glider in formation.

I don't know...Knights are pretty cool. Looks like they fight that stick all the time though. Bit of a pig in the air from the looks of it.

Amazing isn't it, until you see the Su27 series next to something else, that you realise what a massive chunk of metal it really is.

Awesome thunderbirds video, wish we got to see them and the Blue Angels over here in the UK, but thats going to be a rare event.
