By some from HK. They have a new stock of metal gear for any sizes.
This plastic LX stuff will break again on the next rough landing. It was designed for F-35 that is half the weight...

I would leave it off. My impression was that the attachment of the chute's line to the airframe was not worthy for use. Also, you will save yourself a little weight, which is rather helpful for this beast :-).

Henrik

New specifications?

Hi there,

I just noted that on Alibaba, Lanxiang now states better specifications for the Su-47. Apparently, it now has 80A ESCs (instead of 50A) and 2500kv motors (instead of 2100kv).

Does anyone have more details? Might there be anything else new?

Thank you,
Henrik

Seems LX is switching to 80A, higher kv and metal shrouds for 70mm. Same stories heard about MIG. Glad they got some competition from Freewing. (although EPS that worked so well on SU-34 and F-35, not so well on EF and F18 fails on SU-35 IMHO. When I tried to break some large pieces the difference between LX and FW foam is like between plywood and carton).
I have 2500kv Cyclone motors there with stock fans. It sucks 119A and delivers almost the same thrust as stock. Motors get on peak rpm about 2/3 throttle on the ground but seem to have higher pitch in the air. The trouble with this frame is large expansion area after fans where velocity decreases. Even if you put coffee cups in nozzles to maintain pressure it will still slow it down. What it needs is a good thrust tube first of all.

Good point, that was a big design flaw from the beginning.

Henrik

I did not know there was a non-TV version at all. Are you sure that is the Lanxiang Su-47?

Henrik

The fans in the LX Su47 rotate the same direction. The only manufacturer that builds counterrotating fans into their airplanes is Freewing (which also make the SebArt MiG29, which also had the first counterrotating fans).

You can buy counterrotating fans e.g. from RC-Lander, but they seem rather heavy to me.

Cheers,
Henrik
