You will need one for the front wheel steering unless your planing on giving it its own channel.

I have a feeling I am going to be picking your brain more. Hope you don't mind.

Glad to help, This plane can be most intimidating. I still just use it for pattern flying. My 5S set up is good but not much in the vertical dept for loops. etc.. rolls are easy enough the look nice and level. You can see my set up here in this thread http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...097000&page=57 Post 858 or so.

Maiden successful.
Here's the details.
went with the stock config, taped the tv nozzles so could trim the plane for the first couple of flights. TV mixed with rudder on a y cable. disconnected that too. 5 coats of WBPU on top and bottom and dried. used a 6's 3300mah like always. retracts and chute installed but not used. Doors taped shut.

Launched right out of hand but compared to the first one i had this one is a little touchy, as the elevator linkages had more throw than needed. during take off the plane went out of hands acc. to the guy who launched it. on the approach for landing the left canard pushrod came loose and let go of the canard, which got fixed in up position. so the aircraft started pitching upwards towards left. somehow i managed to control the airplane into a harrier like position and flopped on to the ground. Overall a good day, no damage except couple of nicks and scratches. I always get nervous whenever someone is videotaping or taking pics when i am flying. That's why i never let anyone do that.

Thanks for reply, I should have guess so, no wonder there's no video. Friend of mine in QLD. told me on the ph. that he can hover his, but no one ever saw him actually do it. I was only curious as I'm currently shopping for parts to design my own twin 70mm Depron model I hope will be able to hover, Joe.
