Its a single 5000Mah 5s 30C battery. The motors and ESC are soldered together to make one wiring harness. Kind of like a 'Y' from the deans plug to each ESC and to the motors. The reciever wire gets a 'Y' also and a UBEC installed and any built in BEC's disabled.
This pic doesen't show it all. But you can see where I soldered ESC directly tomotor and the RED and BLACK wires join together and run up the center.

Hxt900 or the corona series (929mg etc.) I can recommend.

Cool, I really like the Hxt900 but I have not seen this bird in person, and I was not sure it was strong enof for such a big bird. I guess I could use my D-MG16 on the elvevator just to be safe,

Thanks Iron Mike

On the raptor, the hxt900 needed a little foam to be cut to get them to fit. The coronas however drop right in, and come in analog and digital metal geared varieties.

The most important thing is missing: The fans. Are you using the stock fans? From my experience (2x Su-47), they are really bad quality (see the photos I made and posted at the beginning of this thread). If you build the kit, the biggest single favour you can do yourself is using better fans, e.g. Wemotecs.

Apart of that:
The ESC looks good but oversize.
The motor should be bought in conjunction with your fans, preferably built-in and balanced.
HXT900s have been mentioned in this thread.

Cheers,
Henrik

I finally bought a new airframe so I'm building a new SU-47. Should I buy the whole Wemotec Mini Fan Pro or just the rotors? I've got the stock motors already but could upgrade is necessary.

Buy the whole! Really. The price is ok for the high quality you get. And the stock SU-47 fans are just too bad.

Whether the stock motors fit: I don't know. If it has similar specs like a HET2W25, which you would need to check out, why not?

Cheers,
Henrik

need advise on battery

I have ordered this kit and would like to get some help on what battery to pick up.
So far I think about 2500kv cyclone motors:
http://rc-castle.com/shop/product_in...oducts_id=1616
and 6s 5000mah battery:
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=8582

Motors will add 100g in the back (compared to stock) and battery will probably compensate for it being 750g.

Has anyone flown with 6s 5000mah battery by chance? Is it possible to match CG or take the battery out after you squeezed it in?

You should not have any issue with the 5000mah lipo as I have seen others run a 5000mah lipo, but the lipo you chose has too low of a C rateing. 20c is not good for the lipo or the bird, go with at least a 35-40c lipo.

Thanks Guys

Im going to run the exsact same set up, Same ESC, You need to get a good EBC. Also for $10 more on the motor they sell the fan and all blanced. IT is really worth the money, the stock Sapac fan makes great thrust down low.

The only issue is the lipo, on 5s your looking around 68amps each motor, its going to take a real strong lipo to power both motors, or you will choke the motors down with to small a lipo.

Im going to use 2 http://hicountryhobbies.com/index.ph...roducts_id=133

From the testing I have read these are the best lipos for the money unless you want to spend $275 for TP Lipos. I was told these lipos are better than than XPS lipos.

At 136amps

Also 6800mah / 136000 * .8*60= 2.4 min at wot, so I figured I could get away 3 1/2-4min flight time.
