Italeri Elco PT Boat 1:35 Scale

Has any one tried to modify this super scaled boat for RC
It is about the size of the Motorized Lindberg model but super detailed with the Lionroar Brass kit

Wow, you've gone all the way with LR's set. I've got both the kit & the Eduard PE set in the stash.

Chuck, that's a pretty impressive kit, even more so with the PE detailing---.

Tempting package, but I've always "rolled my own" and continue to do so---.

It is from a company called Lionroar, seems they make quite a few brass parts for boats and cars
It is made for the boat
The boat is quite detailed and hopping to add power and use it as rc boat
An earlier post that was suggested seem started but post went dead.
All suggestions will be appreciated on powering
Was thinking of using an old Lindberg kit (1/32 1970) and using or duplicating that system. Will look up as see if any posts on the Lindberg model.
Here are some more pictures

Yes, Lion Roar does make some very nice product but doesn't that aftermarket photoetch run more than what you paid for the Italeri kit?

I used to live not far from Mr. Lin's Shanghai shop & know some history on that as well as their new S-100 kit. Very nice stuff for the money.

Eduard's kit is much less involved with only 2 frets of brass &, at $24.95 +S&H, much easier on the wallet.

So, are you going to go with the 596 build or another? I'm still thinking to do mine as a Med or Channel boat.

Karl, nothing wrong with rolling your own... I used to do a lot of that in college myself.

The boat that Kmot give the video link is mine

It is powered with two direct drived 380 brushed motors with 3,5 cm, 3 blade props. I'm also using 11,1 V 4000 mah lipo battery. Because of the over heating problem, I also put a water cooling system too.

I ran mine with 2 brushless 750kv outrunners, 2 30A brushless ESC and 2 3S2200mah Lipo; no heat issue at all. One drawback, no reverse; but cheap as to low cost.

How do you attach the deck. Mounting screws in front and back?

I use 3M double sided thin foam tape and sealed the side with oil based paint. I could use razor blade to open it up when the need is there. Insofar, I don't have the need because I could replace servo and repair rudder connection with deck closed.
