So who won?..
I don't know everyone's names yet. But there was a Barge Handling and Free Boat Navigation challenge. They independantly had 1st through 3rd results that I don't recall. Although I did make it away with the "Top Skipper" award.

My dad has built up a few Springer Tugs and I used his most recent one "Abby". Its the blue one with the Sesame Street characters on the front. He made it for my daughter but as the latest one it handled the best so I used it

Another post above has his table with 3 of his springers. His Green one "The Green Shooter" was piolted by my son. It can shot water as the judge accidentaly found out when my son got him in the legs trying to navigate into the CG station. The 3rd channel switch is easy to hit.

Well Toes since you were not there the rest of us had a shot at winning something. Haircut is the least of Aero's problem, shaving that scruffy beard is the first to-do on my list. Both Aero and myself were waaaaaay toooooo busy to take photos so my thanks to all those who did and posted them.
Top Skipper Felipe Resondo "Abby" Springer
(That is his father and son moving the Eamnon Freighter)

Navigation 1st G. Desousa "Billy Bob" Towboat
2nd B. Price "CT Springer" Springer
3rd L. Olson " Springer 1" Springer

Bargehandling 1st Til Mossi "Errant Wind" Springer
2nd Bob Heacock " Big Red" Standard
3rd Bob VanRanken " UGH " Springer

Most of the rest seemed to do well on one section or the other but it was hard to put two good runs together. Felipe seemed to be taking the careful approach to every one of the obstacles and it paid off. Weather was gray and windy so moving on the water was a challenge. Rained later in the afternoon but was finished by then.

Hey in this picture what's the deal with the spelling on the boat stand? Is chis craft short for "See-His-Craft"?

Jim,

The Chris Craft is an RTR, probably Proboat [ IMEXRC was suggested ]

By interesting coincidence the little red tug [8 ball] is documented in the following thread:
Small tug for the girl
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...l+tug+for+girl

Contact Aerominded about the 8 ball and CT Doggett.

Good luck with your new projects

Well Mr. BOATFOX,

Are you still making hulls for folks? I read your thread and wonder if you ever made a mold of Kort version or are you still modifying the orginal hull?

thanks

Hi Lee,

Do you know if they are having the sub run at the flycasting pool this weekend? Is it open to all ships, or just subs?

TIA

Kurt

In time....roughly 2 months left on my work, then I can return to life. Or be broke and have to make boats for a living.

Kurt The Sub Run is this weekend (19th and 20th) at the casting ponds. As usual the Sub folks welcome about anything but tend to the Military side of modelling, so come on out and take a look. I will not attend as will be down South at the Riverside Show.
