Hello Greg.
Thanks I did as you suggested. The error does not see it, now writing and reading are performed correctly.
After the blinking red LED, I have the green and red led on, but the engines do not run.
On all HOL ESC's, a red led is ON as if the I2C bus to be disconnected.

I have to try to reprogram the pic through the pickit2 and erase the EEPROM?
The same hardware in 16F pic working.

UAVX EPA settings 101

Danilo,
Is your graphic active for channels 1-5? If not, then the graphic indicates that the EPA's and subtrims need to be set up for all the channels. Have you done that? First set all of your subtrims and trims to zero on your TX. Set channels 1, 2, 4 for EPA's of about 90 upper and lower. Set channels 3, 6, and 7 for lower EPA of 4% and upper EPA of 90%. Set channel 5 EPA for upper 85% and lower 10%. Now set your subtrims to make the graphic read 4% for channels 3, 6 and 7 and 0% for channels 1, 2, and 4. Channel 5 should be left with the 10% that you set up using the EPA's. Now see if your motors will start. I suspect that at this point the motors will not start due to your throttle idle being too high at 8%. I do see that the testfirmware show all 7 channels passing. You just need to fine tune the EPA's as I describe above using the graphic. I am not sure how your Graupner sets up the channels, but 6 and 7 should be active too. I suspect that since they are passing in the testfirmware and not showing in the graphic, is because you need to set up the EPA's and subtrims properly.
So you do not have a baro and compass installed? All of your other testfirmware info looks good.
*EDIT: UAVPstartup WIKI has been updated with TX/RX setup info. Please read and let me know if it helps! Here: http://code.google.com/p/uavp-mods/w...ed=UAVXStartup
Cheers,
Jim

suggestion

Greag and Jesolin, i have a important suggestion to make UAVP less dangerous.

I think the metod to start motors like a MK is a good idea.

Turn on motor only with GAS stick can bee too dengerous because the small propeller spin up too fast and can make a good damage in a LEG ou ARM.

At this morning my UAVP sping up the motors spontaneosly because i turned ON the UAVP with bad signal received from the radio.

this is a minor change but i think its important.

Now i go fly with UAVPX and make a PID tunning

regards .

Ken,
See above setup 101 posting. Set the channel 5, 6, 7 low EPA to no less that 4%, but can be up to 10%. The high EPA or subtrim value is usually good at 90% for those channels. A low setting of 0% for 3(for throttle or 1 if that is your throttle channel), 5, 6 and 7 will not work!
Cheers,
Jim

Eduardo,
Good point. To always be very safe, you must carefully use your arming switch while holding down the quad to avoid those issues. If your EPA's and subtrims are set up properly, you should never have a problem like you described with the motors spinnning up. Please double-check your TX/RX setup and always please hold down the quad when arming for safety and do a good control check while hoding it in your hand!
Everyone please think safety first!
Cheers,
Jim

Hi Jim, baro and compass are not installed.
Thanks for the advice on EPA, but with gas EPA + -90% I do not have the green light.
By this my current EPA setting, same TX and I2C ESC HOL I just flew for 10 minutes with the PIC 16F876 and 3.15GKE version.
With this setting and TX a few days ago, I flew with 18F2620 GKE 511 version but I had the PWM controller and the UAVPSet was 2.5.
On the menu you could choose the Graupner Trotthle mode on channel 1 Graupner-modus (K1 = Gas, K2 = Roll , Nick = K3, K4 = Gier).
You can get this choice on UAVPset3.0?
However if I choose the voice "JR XR 8103/r700 PPM" the channels setting are the same.

The value of gas on the other GKE software version is from 20 to 200, while in UAVX is from 8 to 90 with the same EPA setting and TX
When I turn on the 16F876 the HOLGER ESC have only the green led on, with the 18F2620 the HOL ESC have the red and green led ON and motors do not run.

Anyway congratulations, on 16f876 GKE with i2c and HOL ESC the fly are very very stable.

I suspect an incompatibility with UAVX and 1.2 version Holger BL

Danilo,
Don't give up onthe Holger's! I am sure they will work, considering that others have been successful. If your Graupner is throttle on channel one, are you using mode 1 or mode 2 with the JR UAVPset v3.0 setting? As you know, much of the setup involves getting the EPA's correct for your version or TX/RX.
Yes, there is a diffference between the UAVX and UAVPset v3.0as Greg is now using percentages in the ranges and grapics.
I'm sure Greg will have some ideas for you too when he wakes up down-under in OZ
Cheers,
Jim
