I work around the corner from this spot. There really is nowhere to land. Dry brush. Maybe in winter or spring when it is green?

It all depends on how they plow the field. For a while there was plenty of hard packed dirt that would work. The walking trail along the west side also could work depending on the weeds.

All we fly are belly lander wings and just put them nose fist into the closest weed patch

Oh yeah Ive flown out at the area you shared (on Del Paso) by safeway too. For me, it was better to come up and park in the cul de sac at Inderkum High School to the east of there and fly. You got a great runway area in that cul-de sac and ok belly landings in the grass. Kinda dirt cloddy though.

You forgot the Mather Sports Complex. That place was always nice to fly the cubs - landing is fun on the astroturf.

Hey that huge field on Del Paso is fun to fly at too FishRfly! If you're real good at landing, you can set down on the levy with landing gear. That was always fun with my cub. PZ mustang didn't like the dirt clods, but sometimes they let the grass grow and it is the biggest space to fly at in the area. Just park at the school right there and no body bugs you.

Think I'm off to see the Rivercats on Thursday.

The park is off Folsom - just take Rod Beudry rd.
Still, after looking at the map we might want to try Hagan Community Park instead. It offers easier parking/access to the fields.

Yeah, went out at lunch today and looked at both. River Bend didn't appeal to me at all. Lots of trees, not much open space.

Hagan looked better. If you set up at the baseball field on the right there is a large open space you can fly over. Looks like urban farm plots.

There's a $4 day fee.
