I messed up my front landing gear pretty bad.
I'm going to try to find a another spot. Have anybody tried the douglas blvd area yet?
Or any other suggestions for big open parking lot or a road without too many trees and light posts.
That 6-7lbs plane comes in pretty decent speed for landing.
LOL. Jay, practice some landings . I cn't wait to see those trainers of yours next month. I got a new one, the Multiplex Fun Cub. It's 55" wingspan with flaps. It's a slow flyer. Should be fun....

Nice to hear from fishRfly!

I'll do that Gent. So hard to do soft landings without a longer runway.

For our runway at Grant line rd I wish I had flaps on my nitro plane. So I can really slow it down.

Hey is anybody up for flying at douglas blvd this weekend?

Where is everybody flying at this weekend?

I am flying no matter what!!!

Just fixed the Trojan's nose gear, replaced blades on my 450 (chipped them while flying around campsite, landing in dirt), and put Deans plugs on 4 new 3s 2200mah 35-45C Turnigy Lipos to replace my old swollen set.

Maybe we should meet up at Douglas and see if its better than Grant Line? I want to check it out after seeing those videos, plus we will have strength in numbers so no one sets our cars on fire...

LOL. I elect that we fly on both Douglas and Grant on alternate sundays. Just to be fair with Nick and other pilots closer to that area. I'll be back next month. For the meantime, enjoy, guys!

That sounds great guys so lets try Douglas area. I also agree with Gent we should switch every weekend.

We haven't flown with Nick for awhile.
We are coming to your neighbourhood bro.

Eric you have fixed all of your stuff you are ready to rock bro.

I need to fix my exhaust muffler gasket on my raptor.

When and what time are we meeting at Douglas than guys?

Also if our other buddy that flys the super cub if he can come thru that would be good too. I think he lives really close to there.

I flew my tiger trainer 40 after everybody left. I got couple of good flights.

Then I started doing some hard core rolls and loops. It was fine until I started to do full throttle dive coming straight down with rolls at the same time.
Soon as I pulled up the wings came off lol...
Plane went straight into the ground full throttle and the wings went flying quarter mile away from the crash site lol...

So I learned that the Trainers can't handle hard core maneuvers.

I think its time for a low wing trainer..

Oh no Jay! thats painful man. Yah the wings have to be very strong and bolted on really securely to do high-g maneuvers! lol time for the Popsicle sticks!

i was thinking about how you said you were class of 98 from cordova, you look familiar... did you know chris roina or mikey monsivaiz? I think i may have had a class with you, did you ever have mr. reynolds?

Ouch Jay!

I say ditch the tail and fuse all together and go with a flying wing

Family and church kept me close to EG today. Compass and I met up at grant line 1:30 - 4:30. We had a blast with a couple new blue-core scratch builds.

It is ironic that you had an issue in a WOT dive today Jay...I had the linkage slip on my IYF 30 in a WOT/full aileron dive. With full right trim, I managed to bring it in. Got lucky

Hope it works out that we can all meet up soon.

Eric

Eric,
Ya it was funny to see the wings just floating in the air. I wish you guys were there to see it.

Nick,
I did have a class with you I think. I had Mr Reynolds.

As far as flying wings go I don't think I'm that good yet. In the future may be. Plus ill probably have difficulty with oriention of it.
