I found some KJ-66 plans

Hi i found free plans for a KJ-66 here,
http://www.geocities.com/rmontielweb/documentoseng.html
There in French or something like that but i could translate them. So, first has any one made one. Second are they reliable? Thanks.

yes people have made them and they will work but the reliability is based solely on how they are built. there are some places where you have to have a TIGHT tolerance so if you build one and the tolerance is off by .03 mm it is the difference between a good running engine and one that you cannot get to start. so yes you can build them and get them working fine but you have to build it exactly to the plans.

i would suggest to get a book called "Model Jet Engines" by Thomas Kamps i am in the middle of reading it right now and it explanes a lot about jet turbines and the history of model turbines and it also has a set of plans to build a turbine.
