Build Log
First Build 37" p-51d balsa kit

OK, so this is the first model (of hopefully allot) that i have ever built and i feel that so far im not doing too bad of a job, over the last few days ive basically glued mostly everything together and am stalled now waiting for a set of retracts, i can get some from where i bought the model but there like $10 and like $40 postage,

Ive attached some pics Below, if anyone sees anything incorrect Please tell me,

the one question i have is about hinging everything. it mentions ca hinges but im not quite sure how i do this, and for the ailerons it just says use sticky tape or hinge tape so i assume that u just get this from the LHS,

1 last thing, can people pleas post links to some good looking mustangs so i can get some ideas for a scheme, as ill be getting my radio gear and coverings soon, thanks all, and feel free to comment / criticize all u like,

is a mountain models kit, including delivery to Australia it totaled $140 Australian, everything goes together quite well only small amount of modifications required, (minor sanding of parts ect)

by only problem is that my LHS is closed on Sundays so now i gotta drive around all day looking for a place to buy stuff today >.<

just thought id add some progress shots, as its late and ill probably not do anything more tonight, might i add,, covering was ALLOT more difficult than i had anticipated, but im getting there slowly, the underside of the wing is black, as will be the rudder, and perhaps a small part at the front,

let me know what you think,,

another update, all pretty much finished, im not happy with the way the color came up its too blueish for my taste, but in not that fussed as i think its a good effort for a first try, there are still a few small details that need to be done, like some more decals and a name before the maiden but here are some progress photos,,

You picked a good one to start with. Mountain Models has great stuff.

You also did a great job! Good luck with the maiden.
