1:5 race bike from AR Racing!
AR Racing will participate at the 1:5 RC Bike World Championship with
the new ARS race bike.
This bike was developed in cooperation with Hugo Binder from Germany.
Our new ARS bike ist the result of merging Hugos race proven frame
concept with the durability of AR Racing bike design.
Some of the features of this new bike concept are (in comparison to most
other known bikes):
- optimized battery position: following the 1:1 bike theory of the ideal
CG position and mass centralization
- higher CG for higher turn speeds at same lean angle
- weight balance: more weight on the front wheel
- longer swing arm matching the proportions of real bikes
- friction optimized drive train with main gear/sprocket unit
- light and flexible rear frame
- easy access to all components for quicker maintenance
The AR Racing Factory Team will participate at the worlds 2009 in
Leipzig with 4 pilots, in the superbike (3) and the stockbike (1) class.
In the attached pictures you can see the superbike model close to a pre production model 95% similar to the one we will sell.
We plan to start the first production batch after summer holidays.

Very interesting for sure. I can't wait to see more on this. I like the use of a standard Li-Po pack. This will give users a wider variety of pack choices. We will be sure to add this to the website for packs that will work with it as soon as you have the full specs out.

here some more pictures of the new ARS bike. The plastic parts are rapid prototyping parts, later they will be injection moulded and black.
The new battery position makes the handling of the bike more responsive and more precise than you know from the usual bikes with low batteries.
Every driver at the worlds is invited to try it out after the competition.

Here are some 3D drawings.
As you can see a peculiarity of this design is the possibility to remove the motor and the esc together unscrewing 4 M4 screws.
Really easy maintenance!
The swing arm shaft is directly fixed to the upper frame plate for maximal torsional rigidity.
The shaft itself isn't rotating to keep the rotating masses at the minimum.

As you can see we have made the right lover frame plate in aluminum to dissipate motor heat, the ESC is in a perfect cooling position as long as you open a window in the front part of the body, right behind the front wheel
The airflow is really good.
No heating problem so far....

The worlds have been lot of fun and we learned a lot in our first year of participation.
We are proud that we were able to make the 9th place in the superbike class, where AR-Racing pilot Thomas Kriener was the best german driver.

Great job, its not easy to go to a big race with a new bike.
I was wondering why the bike has a long wheelbase from the side views in the photos?
