Does anybody know about this 2.4 module/receiver regarding quality and reliability? Manufactuer? HiModel?

I received email from KDS and was told that they have not certified it with FCC.

I have contacted them to see if I can get a module/receiver to include in my module-shootout feature.

It does look remarkably like a repackaged Assan system though

KDS does not seem like electronic manufacturer. Probablly it is OEM brand made by Assan. Will they divulge the information if asked? I will try.

If it was Assan then they would have the FCC certification needed, so it must be something else.

I am flying the KDS8 2.4 system in an F16 EDF Jet. No problems to this point and have had it at a great distance from me. The Transmitter module is installed in a Hitec Eclispe 7 transmitter.

I was hoping to find someone on this site who already used KDS.

So far no problems at all. The one negative (and that is not a deal killer negative is the size of the reciever.) About the size of one of the last generation 72 MHZ receivers. Not a problem in the F16, or the aero cruizer by bp hobbies . And aircraft that size.

OK you can clear this up since you have a unit....does it have a FCC ID on the TX and the RX?

If you are in the US and it does not then the unit IS ILLEGAL.
