Hitec Aurora.
I've just checked the endpoints and that's ok Tx end.
The ESC shows no signs of being damaged, externally, and it programs from Normal to Auto modes fine.
Is there any other programming available with this stock ESC, it doesn't make start-up beeps like the one that comes with my Radian Pro?

I'm going to stick up a vid in a but to show what happens...

It's not reporting the number of cells? Sounds like it's stuck in programming mode.

Are all 3 wires connected from the ESC to the motor? Could be that one wire is not connecting as 2 only can cause that juddering.

He says he's tested all the wires with a meter. I'm with you though, it shows all the signs of a connection problem.

Nope, just one beep or a two tone beep to indicate which mode it's in.
How would I get it out of Programming mode? Would a programming card help here? If so which one is suitable for this stock ESC?

The world of sailplanes is an old one for me but these new fangled electronics is proving quite a learning curve!

No Mixer, and I've tried it on different switches and sliders on the Tx.

I'm going to pull apart the motor/ESC again to double check the current. If that's not the problem then I'm off to the model shop tomorrow to pick up another ESC (snow allowing!).

Defo not the connections, after a bit of digging online it seems that a break in connection causes the motor to stutter back and forth...this isn't the case here as the motor rotates once.

I've ordered a new ESC so will see if that sorts things out.

Yes it was a great feeling. 1 hour later I flew a VERY realistic simulator built from a real cockpit from a J-35 Draken, a Swedish old jet fighter.
Thanks Lasse

After a busy season flying my DG 1000, I made a clip of some improvements,
and my experience.

Review of DG 1000 glider, with retractable power (4 min 28 sec)

This is an under-rated model, I bought second one before they go extinct

I agree, most underrated. Great tip on feathering. I'll do that to mine and also put more black on the underside as my eyes are are ageing fast.
