FPV Stryker -- Extreme Fun

Ever since I got into FPV this has been a dream of mine. With the advent of technologies like long range r/c control systems and antenna tracking devices it has become a reality. I have a lot of practicing to do and a bit more tweaking to do on my setup but check out my Stryker. I'm hoping this is the first of many cool videos to be posted in this thread.

If you have a Extreme Stryker of your own post the video here for all to see the glory of the F27C.

My equipment:

F27C Stryker
ARC 28-47-2 2170 kv motor
Turnigy plush 40 amp esc
APC 6x5.5 prop
2200-3000 mah 3 cell lipo

*edit* Added 2 x MKS airplane gyros to dampen the roll axis. Works well.

Thomas Scherrer UHF Long Range System using his Normal "but still long range" Range RX

Immersion RC 500 mw 2.4 video tx
Immersion RC RCV922 camera (I need to focus it for next flight)
Immersion RC EzOSD
Immersion RC EZTracker antenna tracking system
Immersion RC DUO 2.4 diversity receiver with a 14 dBI and 2 dBi antenna

An old Panasonic PV-GS120 miniDV camcorder to record

Stryker fun (6 min 8 sec)

The electronics are packed in tight but not much interference in the video. The ground station is very small with everything fitting in the wooden box plus my goggles and camcorder.

i def envy your setup...its a great feeling when everything works glitch free and its great to have a plane that doesn't care about wind.... my ez* becomes a lot to handle at anything more than 10 mph winds..

but hopefully i'm gonna get a night flight going once i get remzibi's OSD and then i'll have considerably more fly days..

enjoy the stryker... we know you will

Darn it! I was quite happy with my current Strykers until I saw your video.
Your ability to capture a clean signal at relatively low altitudes and long distance are quite impressive. I can only do one or the other. Now it looks like I'll have to plunk down some plastic for a diversity rx and an antenna tracker.
How far have you gone with Thomas Scherrer's UHF Long Range System?
Some really nice flying btw.

I've flown it 4 miles away. It can go much further so the video link becomes your primary concern.

I'll post pictures of the plane and tracking antenna setup tomorrow.

*dies laughing*

The fact that MW21 is not even using a patch leads me to beleive that IF has one hell of a 10mw system!

Awesome video. I'm also impressed with the quality of the video link at only 10mw.

I've updated the first post with pictures of my stryker and ground station.

Bracky,

Did you buy the Stryker body and build around it or buy the PNP and tear it apart? If you started with just the body, how much did it cost you to put the rest of the Stryker parts together (not counting FPV stuff)?
