A beauty in the making for sure. But then again, has anything left your shop not in this category? I'd be surprised and think it was intentional just to throw us off it it had.

Hi Dan,
assuming your done by September, you got any plans on attending E-Jets? The crowd there would really appreciate the F-4 and I'd love to see it in person.

Dan,

Your designs are works of art.

Maybe you will bring her to the AZ Electric Fest in 2010?

Budget and edf rarely collide in the same sentence.

Thanks, guys.

Believe it or not, this is the first F-4, I've ever built. I remember watching Daren's fly and admiring how well it flew, especially off the catapult.

Eddie,
I've had my share of turkeys. You just never saw any close-up pics of some of my early attempts at molding fiberglass parts.

Dan,
I would like to attend E-Jets in September, but I'm not sure they'll want to let me loose from work. Maybe next year, though.

Matt,
Thanks. And, thanks for the invitation. I can't say for sure right now.

Bob,
Thanks!

I just like 90 mm jets! Any chance the F-106 could be blown up tom 90 mm?

I know what you mean. They are a nice size to work in. The F-4 is actually about the same size as the Flanker.

I could see going back to re-visit the F-106 someday and make it larger for a 90mm and maybe more scale around the inlets and upper rear fuselage. But, for right now, I'm concentrating on the F-4 and others.

How about an RF-4 variant? Sleeker nose, and very fast! I wish somone could produce at least the nose section to adapt to other F-4 models. Do you know of any?

I don't want to speak for Dan about producing variants such as the RF-4, but it would be easy enough to scratch build the nose out of foam, etc.

The nice thing about the J version is that there are numerous paint schemes available; enough to suit nearly every taste. The F-4 was the only fighter used by every branch of the service, except the Army.

Like Daren says, the sleeker nose was just a cockpit-forward modification. It would be a simple matter to take this model and carve a new nose from foam.

The J-model is more popular than the later models. Sort of like the Piper J-3 Cub vs. the Piper PA-18 Super Cub.
