Yeah, the F-106 has never been out of production. It has been available since I released the kit.

Keep in mind that the XF-92 did not use the same wing design as the F-102 and/or F-106. Both production fighters utilized the drooped leading edge whereas the XF-92 had a plain delta wing. That makes the XF-92 a much easier model to design/build.

I know what you mean. I have to consider each one carefully.

I only wish I'd thought of the leading edge jig sooner. As in years.

WRT XF-92, that is why we are looking at it. Bascially a tube fuse(turn the plug on a wood lathe) and triangle wings and tail. Pretty simple. The inlet is very very tiny. When sized right for a 70mm, it is about 68% FSA. I can get it up to about 72-73 by trimming the intake back about an inch. \

man o man, SEA camo looks good on both the 106 and the F-4....sigh

Although the fuse on the XF-92 looks like you could turn it on a lathe, the back half is asymmetrical. If you didn't mind about it being a little out of scale, you could turn it, however. All in all, though, it is a pretty simple design, especially when compared to its siblings.

Let me save you the heartache of trying to decide which model to get: get both!

Just received a notice that my short kit is on its way

Yep. It should be there by next weekend.

I didn't have a chance to try out the flaperons today. One of my flying buddies, Ken Adams, was at the flying field and he brought his camera with him. So, we spent my first flight taking some really cool in-flight shots.

To save him the trouble of emailing the photos to me, I'm going to go back out tomorrow and take a thumb drive with me to download all the pics he took today. So, I'll try the flaperons tomorrow.
