Prather 40 inch deep vee

I am building a prather 40 inch vee and I'm looking for people that have already set up this size boat for help with a good electric setup.

I am by no means an authority on this but I would expect you’d be looking at brushless XL size motor and speed control surface drive(s) from the manufacturer of your choice or the rather pricey Graupner drives for that scale appearance. Batteries would be lipo and radio your choice.

Depends on your budget but this range of motors is gaining popularity for bigger boats as they have heaps of torque for driving the bigger props you'll need to get that hull moving. And they're reasonably priced too.
A 10L on 6s Lipo or a 7L on 4s Lipo would be a couple of conservative choices.

I haven't tried one myself but am thinking of getting one soon so I can't advise on the ESC but I'll be trying the HiModel GX 200 as it's the only one I use now. But any 150A to 200A ESC would do.

I hope someone else gives you other/better choices. This is just what I would try if it were mine.

Paul.

Thanks for the advice Paul I figured I had an empty hull sitting around why not build something. As with my super vee I will try for speeds that the hull shouldn't go I've got a seaking 180 on it's way hope it's enough amps I heard they are hard to kill I think I'll test it's limits let me know how the esc works for you appreciate the help on this and on my super vee
