exactly - I do the same thing - but I tend to edit out the pieces where the plane can not be seen...

What we need is a device that sends a signal from the plane that the camera can track. It would need to be very light. Maybe an LED or something.

Probably way too expensive...

If I hit this Lottery we'll build the technology to make this happen and all my friends will enjoy having one. Expense will be no object.

I don't have anything against bridges but if I win the lottery I'm going to burn alot of them!!!

Thanks - thought I needed something animated.

So what's everyone building/flying?

I ordered a new SkyWing full fuse 48" edge - here is the thread
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1727542

I am working up to an Extreme Flight 48" Balsa - real hard to decide between exra and mxs - always liked the mxs.....next year some time.

Cleaning up my "barn" (metal building) - moving my planes and stuff out of my office and creating a "build" bench area out there.

Once it is done, will get some pics up.

Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving and ate way more than you should have.....

That Edge is super sweet!!!!!

I like your commitment to move your shop. More space, more models.
Looking forward to the pictures.

I cleaned out my shop some, but have much much more to do. I gave away eight or ten planes. About half have already been crashed and now they want me to repair them. I thought I was making less work and now have more, that is if I decide to do the repairs.

I still have the last plane I started on the work bench. Maybe over the Christmas break. Not being able to see with my right eye has just about stopped my flying. I will have it repaired in January. I was invited to a day of flying over the break so I'll take one of the slow flyer's.

So, is old Santa bringing the Edge?

Ron,
It's obvious the FAA has no jurisdiction in El Salvador. Some of those low passes were very close between people and parked airplanes at flat out full speeds. Some people were on the run way.

"Pass me another beer and and and watch the on comin', ohh luk itss heeded stright hic at ussss."

Don't go to that one Buddy. If so take lots of Beer!

I am on the fence with these types of things, when you look at a full scale plane making demo passes, even if the croud is at a considerably safe distance, an accident can still take many lives.

Thrill seekers will pay good money to live on the edge, and accept the risk, even sign a waver to be up front for a thrill, have the time of their life, and be killed in a car wreck on the way home.

The Galloping Ghost is another example of people willing to take risk for the trill of being close enough to feel the power. Its tragic that accidents happen, but some people want to make their own choices, "live a little" and be on the edge.

Nascar, these cars have thrown carnige into the stands at on lookers. So they put up a catch fence, and do what they can to protect the croud. Sort of a pain looking through the fencing, but it beats being moved a 1/2 mile away and not being able to see, might as well just stay home and watch it on the tele.

Some say our government is too involved in our personal lives, I think it is the insurance companies that lobby our government to step in with all the regs.

I heard that, I did. I have got in my car and left model airplane events because some over zealous enforcer screamed "Back behind the fence" when I was sneaking a peak of a model on the ground. Being the president of a club you know these things must be to keep the claims ajuster away. I had a full scale airport at one time and the risk people took made me shudder knowing I was the owner of the property. I had an attorney that rented tie down space from me and he didn't help by putting the fear of God and man in me either.

All that said, when I was younger I would be the pilot in the plane doing the low passes.
