Here is an update on my build of the AeroBile, the wing is just sitting there for the picture. I am waiting on parts so no motor or anything yet.
Not sure what i will do for wheels yet.

That is so Kool. I really like the color scheme and the headlight. Great job!!!

I did notice the angle of the rudders. On mine I had them follow the edge line of the elevons but what you have may work even better.

Thanks for the picture and keep them coming. It's always exciting to them.

Here is a link to some plans. I looked around at actual pictures and the rudders appear to be at the wingtips and straight (as normal rudders are).

No idea if it makes a difference, but thought I would provide this.

Anyone flown one of these yet?

Bob

If I am seeing this right, it seems to me that the verticals are going to act as side force generators <SFG's> since they are angled, this could induce a lot of drag and possibly make the nose pitchy to power?

I am curious how they fly. Delta Wings are typically very quick and can be power pitchy to start with, like the Jagi's and the Swift that I had. With the pod below I guess it is possible this could ad stability.

The one I built and flew is on the first and second pages of this thread.

It doesn't have the headlight or look near as good as this one but it flew great.

Simple but fly's well. I noticed they were going to attempt a hand catch, but edit that part out. Unless the camera man was the one doing the catch or maybe that didn't work so well.

Hey Bluefish,
I have a question. Should the dimension at the firewall be the same on the top and bottom? The top was 2" and the bottom was 3".
Thanks
Dalton

Nice. I was looking at the skywing and as of September of this year, they were no longer being shipped to the US because some company made a deal to be the sole distributor.

I can not say for sure, but looks very similar to this

Can't wait to see what they offer it at.

However, I could be completely wrong in my conclusion.

I see it is already available.

Joe Smith knows how to get the best use out of battery discharging. Did you say you were standing to the right watching them and filming, wow, great job.

Looks like the same plane to me Bob.

You are absolutely correct on the rudders. They will be lined up straight with the ailerons so as to avoid drag. They are just sitting there now for the picture.
I am still working on it figuring how to design some wheel mounts for it etc.

Everyone else is assuming the same thing, you would not be alone.
