I'm planning actually to do the Waterman Aerobile which is called the Ellipso Aerobile.

I was wondering one thing regarding the rudders, is there a particular reason why these where place in the wing as opposed to be just at the tip like the Waterman Aerobile?

I actually build the Waterman profile based on this site and free plan: www.flyrc.com
Here is the link to the Aerobile profile: http://www.flyrc.com/mrslil

Here is the link to my building thread for this plane: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...2#post19922455

I was planning to redo it with a full fuse and larger wing chord to have more lift from it. Since I had severa crash till I had the CG alright, the build became too heavy to fly with my motor/prop config and it gets pretty hot after a flight.

So now I will redo it with a full fuse and probably do it with the rudder on the wing tip. But will keep the overall building technics of the Ellipso Aerobile.

I'm looking forward to have this bad boy going. From my build once CG was correct it flew very stable and I was pretty pleased with this plane. Hope the new version will fly as good and stable as I'm planing to do aerial video from it.

Whish me luck!
RCSquale,
Removing the wing tips at the rudders will work just fine. It will look more like the Waterman Aerobile! I'm excited about you building from this plan. Please post pictures here as you build, as well as your build thread. We would love to see it being built and flying! As you can see by the videos it flew very well. I enjoyed my visit to your build thread.

Thanks
Dalton

The authors layout of the plans was all over the page, It really needs cleaned up in Cad and redone, I just dont have time. Yuppers, only print the pages needed is a good call.

I cropped off the extra white space and got it down to 15 pages.

I'm glad to hear that great maiden report crashin. Super nice indeed!! Now if you could post us a video it would be wonderful to see it in action. Thats an excellent looking plane.

Is the peg board your runway? If so, is it airborne in eight feet?

It is pegboard but that is just to taxi to the smoother runway. It gets airborn in about 20 feet maybe 25 but that's off of grass. Top speed is prob 55-60 total weight full on nitro is just under 5 lbs
