Thanks for the feedback, my batt. may be too small it's a Sky Lipo 2200mAh 11.1V 25C what would be a better motor to use, I would hate to buy another batt. now I think my girlfriend would kill me.
I have other motors maybe a lower kv? I have a hobbyking 750kv maybe that would be better?
I have seen the magic white smoke,I had a 1350kv that did it. It looked kinda cool but then I noticed a power loss.
Man did that little motor HOT!
I have to learn more about prop size and KV.

I have to agree with DaOldGuy - way too big a prop. From what I read it said "Suggested Prop: 7x6-8x4@3cells",

25c should be just fine.

More details:
EMP Outrunner BL Motor N3530/07 1700KV
EMP N Series Motor

A:Prop 7x6,Lipo 3S,40A ESC@1kg Current:30A
B:Prop 8x4,Lipo 3S,40A ESC@1.5kg Current:36A

So I have not posted for quite some time now and I've been flying more then ever. I recently got into nitro planes and I have an easy fly 40. It was fun at first but now kinda boring. I've always loved my ea's and got to thinkin what about a nitro version? So I was wondering is this possible what size do I make has anyone tried this? If u have some advice would greatly be appreciated. Happy flying!!!

I have no experience with nitro except as a kid flying u-control Cox planes. Not exactly sure what the fuel was, but I know it would melt the plastic over time, I would think foam would be no match for nitro.

I supposed you could cover the foam, but the weight of the motor, one nose in and the foam would more than likely split - so plenty of balsa/ply bracing I would guess.

If you go this route, please post pics - should be interesting.

I'm thinking like Bob and concerned about what the nitro would do to the foam so I would do two first for the EA and that is build it out of Balsa with the nitro motor. That would be really kool!

Yeah! I would build the wing with wing ribs and spar. Cover the plane with Monokote or one of the other coverings. Would be sweet for sure. Nitro EA, even sounds sweet!

Hey Everyone, Long time no see. I have been flying quite a bit lately. Finally got moved into our new house. Got my work bench all set up. Now ready to build the Bipe. So my Dad and I are going to be building twin Bipes. Don't worry I will definately post some pics. Quick question for you Dalton,to get started. For the Bipe what motor is being used, is it still the 2212-13? Also do you think it would be possible to get a little pic of the battery compartment to see approximately how you did yours. One other last question is I thought I read in one of these pposts that you did carbon tube on one wing and a carbon strip on the other wing. In one of your videos it looks like the tube is on the upper wing so I am guessing the strip is on the lower wing. Is this correct. Thanks again

I guess I should have stated that earlier, I did plan on scratchbuilding balsa and ply. My main concern is the weight not sure which version to make. My trainer weighs almost 7 lbs. And that is ready to go but the ea I was wondering if I built the 40 inch version if it would be to much loading on the wing. I'm running an os 40 la so not a super heavy powerplant but much heavier than my outrunners. I seriously think I'm gonna try!!! Ill keep everyone posted:-)
