It had one maiden flight on Sunday. The TT 36 Pro was giving us some grief, I didn't want to risk a dead stick so I handed to our local dead stick master. He has the same plane being built and LOVED this one. Flew perfect and went right into a stable hover.

My sister lives in Austin, nice place.

Have not built anything in a while. Need to change that too.

I recently came across the elipso series of planes. Some excellent plans and really cool looking planes. I am interested in building the Elipso lite bipe. I am hoping that someone can tell me the wingspan as well as the length. I searched hi and lo on the thread last night and did not find this. I have a cpl of blue wonder motors that I can use, I assume that a blue wonder would be a good choice? Also would this plane work well as just RET?

The battery goes on the velcro strip at the cockpit. I recommend reinforcing the main fuselage front, from the landing gear to the firewall with balsa on each side. Hard landings can cause the foam to crack from the weight of the motor. Ask me how I know. Other than that I flew mine many many times. Fun to fly! I don't know how well it would do as a RET being a bipe. May need a larger rudder. Give it a shot!

Post pictures of your build and keep in touch. There's no build thread so if you have any questions please ask, this is a really smart group of guys, excluding myself.

Yes.... Sux... They are taking notes of the complaints so hopefully they will not do the fixed width thing.

I have the foam for the elipso lite bipe cut and ready to glue together. Since I have never built a biplane, I am at a loss as to where the CG should be located. Can someone tell me where it should be located on the elipso lite bipe?

I agree - I was trying to get used to it because I figured it was going to happen no matter what. I thought the fixed width is from the old days with small monitors, slow connections, etc....

It is not so much the fixed width that bothers me, it is just harder to read, like my groups listings - also things are wrapping too often.
It is funny that things have been used one way for along time, and people are happy and from what I hear, it has the largest community of all sites - why change it?
