I did, but used up a lot of my battery and the landing made the plane nose over with all that tall grass. It's funny how you will try stupid stuff and risk your plane just for the fun of seeing if you can do something.
Hmmm... Maybe you should talk to someone about that type of behavior.

I was covering the twist with grass Sunday, I figured out that the 13X4 was too much prop, dropped to a 12X6, much much better and trims grass faster.

I would love to fly that twist. Good thing we don't live close to each other!

I would have no issue handing it over to you now that I am getting it trimmed out and a few things dialed in. This was the 3rd or 4th flight. I still had the 13X4 prop which was just to big and caused some timing issues if I throttled up too fast. <you will hear it squeal at one point> The 12X6 made a HUGE difference on the next flight.

E-Twisted Flight 4 of the Maiden (4 min 57 sec)

As for our discussion about "Go Big" here is a maiden of a large cap.

Matt Chapman Cap 580 (6 min 34 sec)

That and most people trash their gas weedeater after a season or two because it becomes hard to start.....never occurs to anyone to take the carb apart and clean or check for cracked hoses...lol

Free is good.

Ron;

Wow! That twist rolls like it's on a wire! I can tell it will be an easy 3D machine and the wing load is nothing. Floats like a feather.

That is a nice flight field!

Free IS good! I think I'll start looking for discarded weedeaters. It's the time of the year for that!

Sorry to hear that inline. My buddy list is short and I don't want to lose you. I've been working long weeks to try to get school closed for the year and I've got a long list of summer projects so thats why I've been off the thread lately. Plus, somehow we have to get the rest of our vacations in before the end of June. Work gets in the way of my hobby.

I did pop a receiver in this Ladybug thing this afternoon and flew it. This thing flys great!!! I've had it for awhile but never did anything with it but I'll be flying it for sure.

My Funtana flys great also. Totality different from the bug thing but fun to fly.

Yep, and this old guy is pretty excited. However it doesn't take much to excite me. If it flys well I say "Wow, look at dat."
