Flew the Partenavia for the first time today!

Wow, what a nice plane! I warmed up my thumbs flying the (dare I say it?) Zagi, and then taxied the Partenavia a couple of times to get the feel of it on the ground. I gathered my courage and tossed the "Parti" with full throttle. It practically lept out of my hand and started climbing like the proverbial homesick angel. It only required several "beeps" (digital trims ya know) of up elevator and she was flying straight and level. Made a few circuits to get the feel of her and then got a couple of mistakes high to check the stall characteristics. Power off stalls were straight ahead with little loss of altitude required for recovery. I didn't time the flight, but eventually the battery packs had had enough and I managed to grease her in to one of my best landings in a long time (strange to see a wheeled landing again, after so many slides to a stop). I felt that I had tempted fate enough, (I hadn't even taken the pre-requisite pre-flight photos!) so I brought the Zagi back out to relax. All in all a great afternoon of flying!

Hey glad to hear it. If you're going to the celebration of silent flight on May 5,6, be sure to bring it up. Looks like a nice flyer.
We'll fly in formation with the Part..and my Twinstar.
