We hear you there..... There are going to be multiple options to purchase AttoPilot and its accessories, I believe most of you will be pleased with the results. I can tell you one thing, customer service is the upmost priority and you are going to receive the best service you could ask for. There are only a couple of things that need to be resolved and then we will post the info on this forum.

Thank you,

Chris McNair

I'l have a go at one of those also, I have all the rest so lets not be discriminatory.
One thing I'm concerned about owning one, if they are as good as you say they are and the after sales brigade is even half helpful, then there is a possibility that I might start saying nice things about it and become unpopular with $ome of the preacher$ on here!

I to might sign up, depends on price.

This is new to me, so when you said it controls / 4 servos / 4 Rx channels, for the simplest UAV’s requiring only 3 flight control and 1 trigger.

Trigger = meaning an off/on switch for the auto pilot?
And the other controls lets say, T/A/E?

!!!!CORRECTION!!!!

Sorry if I was not describing it as you would expect. The main autopilot board will have controls for A/E/T/ as well as one trigger (photo or alike). The rudder would be connected to the expander board. Again sorry for the mistake...

Again as soon as I get the price sheets I will post info. We apologize for the delay although it was planned this way.

Thank you,

Chris McNair

Dennis, when I get back to OKC from Deans I will give you a shout. My father lives in McKinney and I have to get down there to show off the new IMU, maybe we can hook up and you can play as well.........??????

Let me know Via PM.

Chris is going to correct his response. The servos controlled directly by the Atto IMU are just Aileron/Elevator (or elevon1 and elevon2), throttle and a trigger. The trigger will be just like Atto v1.8 wherin the user can configure it as a logic driver or a servo PWM driver, and setup the active and rest positions.

If you want rudder or all the extra things like flaps, then you need the expander board.

Price is not set, but I can tell you it will be competitive. Keep in mind this autopilot is severely torture tested and refined based on data feedback from countless flights under adverse conditions, mil-spec ranges, and has many sophisticated features for navigation, self trims, gain scheduling, and generally very high resolution in everything it does. I would happily put it up against ANY other IMU autopilot that currently sells for < $10k.

Every pin will work on the main board...... There are only two sets of pins that are not used on the V1.8 and those are for Pan and Tilt, these were put there for future development. Dean wants to have the ability to provide you with new firmware at a later date so you may have more functions then you initially received. If there are any other parameters that do not work on the V1.8 I would be interested in knowing what they are. Would you please elaborate???

Professional GCS is exactly that. Lots of $ spent to have high quality professional look and functionality.

I will get a list of the differences and let you know.

Thanks,

Chris
Thank you for the replay. yes I was referring to the pan/tilt as well as some of the parameters in the set file, like reverse sings for ch7, or D term for servo 3-7 or the plane mass $51. Don't get me wrong Atto v1.8 does more than I need and I love it.

I am interested in the IMU based because I’ll be moving near DC and the weather there is not as pleasant as in Miami, FL. Also I like the idea of been able to control things like flaps, airbrakes, rudder and pan/tilt amongst a cool GCS with moving maps.

Will the GCS have a OnePoint targeting, or a configurable no-fly zone (other than distance from home)?

No problem! All names are being stored in a list. I will PM each member individually to get further information such as e-mail addresses and names. Again this is not binding by any means; we are simply trying to get a good idea of possible sales.

Thank you for your interest.

What's the scheme on the antenna tracker? ImmersionRC from the FPV forum sells one but it requires calibration everytime you move the antenna and you have to have their OSD device inside the plane. Can you elaborate on yours?

The antenna tracker is a separate item that will be available. You will not be required to re calibrate each time if you move it, but you will have to make sure it is pointed north. If you move it 400m away then I would expect you would need to recalibrate it.

The unit we are going to offer will come with bubble level and compass built on the system.

If there is any further info you need please let me know and I will try and answer your questions.

Thank you,

Chris McNair
