40" Dynamic Build Thread

I have received the imporved versions of the D40. I thought it would be appropriate to do a 4th of July build thread (red, white, blue plane) so the building will start tomorrow. I want to share some pictures of the improvements made and let everyone know that production will be back in full force starting this coming week. It is likely that all orders will be filled in the next 8 weeks. The first 15 on the list should be around a month or so. Thanks again for your patience. Here is a picture of how the model will arrive to you. What is missing is the carbon horns that I will be machining soon. I still need to get servo cover molds made now that the provisions have been finalized.

Provisions have been made for the Dymond D60 servo. They stick up a little but I will make covers to fit. I will be setting up one of these with the D47's to see how well it flys because they will not require a bulged cover and might be suitable for most conditions.

The wing is fitting the fuse much better now with a slightly wider saddle and a flush fairing at the rear.

This model pictured is the last of three color schmes available currently. There is white/red/black, yellow/red/black, and this red/white/blue. I will be getting these planes in batches so if your dead set on an exact color scheme there is a chance you may have to wait for the next shipment. I will do my best to send everyone their chosen colors specified on the order. For those of you who would like to have the red/white/blue instead of the colors you had previoulsly picked I will be glad to change your order for you. Send a PM.

These new models have carbon sleeve in the ailerons and should be great flyers. Stay tuned for the build.

Very Nice Joe. Will these be around for a while or should I get on the list now if I'm hoping for one by the end of the summer?

Jim

If the schedule works out you should be able to order one and it will ship right away sometime in september/october. Until then, those on the list have priority. there might be other orders between now and then so it might be a good idea to get your name in there. Send me a PM if interested.
