T-Rex 450 sport "Owners Thread"

Here is the new T-Rex 450 Sport! I like the frame design, similar to the 250!

Alan Szabo Jr. Align TREX 450 SPORT (5 min 8 sec)

Thanks,
Devin

Just as I suspected, a "V3" belt tail. It is a good marketing move. A TT Sport wouldn't have made sense. It will outright cannibalize the 450 Pro. Seeing the V3 parts creep into sore shelves, it is a simple job to package them together in the 450 Sport.

Does it have a direct belt drive or the same tail gear configuration?

Excellent question Gino........I don't see the slots for the normal 'tail drive gear'.

450V2 then 450 PRO (TT driven)

then this is 450V3 = same rotor head as PRO but belt driven, is that the differences?

so, what's the different on the rotor head between V2, V3 and PRO?

From the way the boom lines up with the frame I think it uses a tail gear.

Head: V3 and Pro spindles are longer. Hence the wider rotor hub.

Tail: V3 belt driven with weighted tail grips and square tip tail rotors.
Pro is torque tube with weighted tail grips and square tip rotors

I am not too sure if there are differences in mixing ratios between V2, V3, and Pro.

Shoot, I just bought my first "real" heli (non clone), a t-rex 450 pro. Now I guess this is better. I shoulda known as soon as I get the pro, something newer, better would come out. Oh well, hopefully the pro will do me just fine!

From where I'm standing your Pro is better. It really depends on what you want in a heli.

Whew! cool. I know at this point I cannot fly it to its potential, but its great to know I have plenty of room to grow before it's obsolete!

It has the tail drive stepdown gear like the old 450's! It will be able to run Torque tube also! I like the frame design

Thanks,
Devin
