They're epoxied to the tailerons. The control horns' studs were cut shorter so they still had a couple 'threads' on them but not so long that they would go through the taileron; I cut out a square in the covering and epoxied them in.

Hi Glenn,

Thanks for posting a build thread for your F-16. Any chance you will post the parts specs for your Miss Bud, including the ESC, Fan, Motor, Batteries, etc?

I have a stock P3 F-16 and have wanted to build a new screamer for some time.

Thanks,
David

I've posted the specs before but I guess I forgot to include them in this thread; I used a CC 125 ESC, HET 6904 fan, ARC 28-48-1 (special version of a 28-47-1) w/ a custom heatsink, TPX V2 3300 5s, CC BEC, HS-65MG's, AR6000 Rx w/ DX-7.

Thanks for the info, Glenn.

Do you have any thoughts on ARC's 28-58-1 and HET 6904 Fan in this airframe?

Dave from ARC asked me if I wanted to test a 28-58-1 but I declined because the kv is too low for my taste. The motor is on the heavy side, and you would need 5s or maybe even 6s to get similar performance to a 47-1 on 4s.

more specs.

tailslide i know it was 5 years ago but, i want to know the weight of miss bud with the battery . and also how much thrust did she have, did you ever measure it? because i know for sure if you open up the stock exhaust from 53mm to 63mm you will get another 150 grams of thrust. so maybe you might be able to hit 185 mph if you did that. ............... on my current setup i have 1350 grams of thrust on 900 watts doing about 125mph.

Hey syfaz777, sorry for the late response. Haven't been on here in awhile.

I don't think I ever measured the thrust output in grams, to be honest, but I think it was around 2 to 1 when the jet weighed about 42 oz RTF if I remember right. And I was going for the highest velocity, afterall, as the airframe was so sleek that it needed speed in the form of air velocity rate, not raw power...at least that was my thinking. The intake was designed really small for that purpose, too. And I believe I had the outlet at 54 mm, but maybe not, it's been so long.

The thing crashed back in 2010 doing 205 in a fat dive here in Denver. I'd show you the video, but I lost it because of a crashed hard drive plus a youtube account dropped thanks to google plus...

Cheers,
Glen
