Older EVO...Its sagging bad,I flew it 3 minutes,I charged it back up,and it only took 1800mah.I know I took more than that from it.When I run it now,you can hear the difference with it,and my 2650 4s.

more of the same

OK i guess this is my last report on the BI 3600...i really let it have it today ...i pluged in a XPS 5000 batt ...and let her rip in 90 degree heat .....well i dont recomend this power level ,but the motor had no proplem ..and performance was up a 100 watts easy ...at the end of the flight it still made 980 watts...im going to say this is a high quality very reliable and powerful EDF motor.best suited for a 3200 4s batt @850+ watts...i am not getting tired of the performance...if i get bored ..just throw in the 5000 batt...has any body else tried one of these ? lets hear your experience as im sure you are all tried of hearing about it from me ....have any ques. feel free to pm me. Don thanks for the opp. to test these sweet motors.....what you guys hav'nt bought one yet? ....come on you hosers power up with the "Blue Ice 3600"

Okay, I ordered a Hobby Lobby F-16 (from Nitroplanes... same thing) and I'm putting together a power system. My plans are to use this motor, the 6904 fan, and a Pentium 80 ESC.

My question is on batteries... Hobby City is showing a couple of options. I'm trying to stay cheap right now. I'm thinking about Rhino 3000mah 20C 4S or 3700mah 25C 4S. Do you guys think the 20C's would be okay? They're a lot less expensive... I tend to do a lot of full-throttle flying but I can tone it down if need be.

i would go with the 3700 25c since you like wot.you could use a 60amp esc ....but the 80 is fine also ..the extra weight wont hurt this F-16

I ordered the 3000's right before I got the reply... oh well. I'll be gentle on these for now. I might order the 3700's later on to see the difference in performance.

Since Don put up the 60a ESC's in the FS section, I went ahead and picked one up along with a motor. I actually have some locals interested in seeing the performance, since the price is right. We might have a fanbase here in DFW

I'm excited to see how this thing is going to fly. I'm not expecting blistering speed, but I think it's going to be perfect.

I ordered a new 2.4 9303 too so I won't have to be terrified of crashing a 4th time because of glitching, too

where all the flight reports? still flying mine i went back to the JS1400 and the performance was not at all that different due to the light weight of this power system.

I have to wait until my next paycheck to pick up some wire to extend my ESC power cables... otherwise my Nitroplanes F-16 is about ready to roll (same as the HL).

Well, I maidened my F-16 a few minutes ago (I'm still at the field). To reiterate, it's the 70mm Nitroplanes F-16 that is the same as the Hobby Lobby.

I was concerned about ESC cooling (Pentium 60) so I cut away a little more material on the cover over it. I took off at full throttle and immediately throttle back. I was immediately impressed with the power!

I trimmed out and got it flying nice, then did a couple of high-speed passes. I'm guessing it was running about 80-90 mph (6904 fan).

Anyway, I lined up for my 4th pass, went to full throttle... and the motor cut off. I quickly landed and checked everything out. The battery was barely warm (Turnigy 3000mah 20-30c 4S), as was the esc. The motor, however, was way too hot to hold. I tried throttling up slightly and it began shuddering and shaking instead of spinning.

Any ideas what happened? I'm kind of aggravated
