Thanks for posting the video! Something is not right though, I am only getting about 100 mph. Your rpms are higher than the HET 6904 and 2W combo but the speed is much less than the 2W combo You dragging a parachute behind you

I just went an measured my 6904 fan and I get the following:

D=69mm
d=32mm

So for 80% FSA you want

De= sqrt(.80) * sqrt(D*D - d*d)
De= .894 * sqrt(69*69 -32*32)
De= 54.65mm = 2.15"

Your size sounds perfect.

Air Sally's flight is about 120 mph on a WM480 and the HET 6904 I though was suppose to be a faster fan so I would think 120-130s would be correct. Maybe you were not giving the plane enough time to accelerate to full speed?

Don ...mine had the wemotec 480 ...is that what you ment ? the het set up should be faster than mine .....Lucky do you have one of my inlet ducts? not that that would make up 20mph ...maybe 8-10 depending on how clean your inlet is ...i also use 2.1 -2.2 for tail pipes ...this one has a tight fit to the Air sally glass tail cone. i have some body work that needs fixing so there might be more in it ...plus we had what we call dead air today ....i dont know if it is low pressure or alt density but all of our jets where sluggish ...C/N had some proplems launching some of his stuff..my 16 was doggy on the launch too.

don, from the video, he probably wasnt allowing enough room to get going fast enough, and he was pulling up too soon after the run.

Yeah something is fishy as the rpms are over 40k and the exit nozzle is correct. I think a new video with longer passes coming and going will get better results. I will say Joe sure loves to hug the ground I love it!

What size lipo you running? I was seeing about 40.5k which is what a 4S2200 will do, a 4S4000 will get you closer to 44k.
