Oh Sheesh,I am sorry to hear about that....
Kinda blows my post here now.....
Flight report on this motor in a 6904 fan in the HP F-16
AWSUM!
Verticle performance was the best part,it never slows down going straight up!
Very smooth sounding and plenty of speed in the flats,Est. speed @ 125-130 mph,and I am probably low with that. What a nice balanced setup for 70mm EDFs.3 Thumbs up from me...

That blue finish looks just like the Medusa 28mm inrunners. And the test numbers are very near what Medusa shows for their 28-040-3400.

It can't be the same motor, the BI's kv is 3600 (not 3400), it's 47 mm long (not 40 mm), it weighs 134 g (not 100), it has cooling holes on both ends and the end caps are silver (not blue).

The BI-3600 is definitely not a Medusa motor. The large cooling holes in the front and rear plate are why I went with the company I did. There are lots of inrunners out there and I looked at a lot of them! The blue color is just dye during the anodizing process. I could have them anodized black, red, green, gold, purple, etc but I like the "ice" blue and silver ends

It looks like a 4 mm shaft inside the motor, and yeah those are some big ol' bearings.

I didn't say it was the same motor, nor did I mean to imply it. I just looked at the photo of that motor, and that it's a 28mm inrunner, and the first thing I thought was that it looks like a Medusa...and there is a Medusa at about that kv...and sure enough the published test numbers are very similar...so what's special about this motor?...or is it strictly a price/value thing? And BTW the Medusa V2 motors do have cooling holes on both ends (at least, the one I have on my GWS F-15 does).

i got 5 more flights on the BI 3600 motor..3 in the ray and 2 in the F-16 .we got some doppler passes on vid i think ...C/N should post soon ..the 16 is a blast to fly on this motor..nothing really Special about this motor ...it's well made runs Great ..fills a ninch due to 850+watts and only 60 amps..the price is a bonus..great motor for smaller foamy's and no need for heavy big batts /esc. it makes my jets fun to fly ..not that the JS 1400 combo was'nt fun it scoots the Big Ray along just fine ..but it's close to a one pound (i need to weigh to be sure )difference so the plane just flies better at my Alt and Temps.

For the F-16 I got 118 and 122 mph.

For the F-4D I got 103 mph on both passes.

The 16 w/ Wemo fan did 43 k rpm, the Skyray w/ HET fan was 44 k rpm. The Wemo is much softer and should have more rpm. WTH?

well it's not fair for the Wemo as it only had a 2350 25c 4s batt and the ray was using a 3200 30 4s...i think that is why ..thats faster than the F-16 was dopplered before .....it still has some scares from Vagas...remember we had a bad throw right before the race ......not that i had a chance .....the air was'nt very good today all are jets were struggeling.
Thanks TS for the input....wonder if i can get that 3200 batt in the f-16
