I have several 2200 4S 20c batteries, and I just ran across this motor on the website. Do you think these batteries would suffice for the HL 70mm jets like the F4 w/ 6904? If so, it would be awesome..

I've been waitng for this, Don!

it might be ok if they are really good batts ...flight times would be shorter and the watt numbers would be lower ,,,if you could get 2x 2200 in there you'd have some serious power....i think 2500-3200 is best ,but i did use the wemo and a 2350 batt it peaks at 730 watts.@48-50 amps

Thanks for the info... I guess this one would be better suited to the slightly larger planes. Maybe a Windrider F-35...

well the HL F-16 is big enough...the F-35 would be a nice fit also, it would make 600+ watts w/ a 2200 4s batt ...might be a short flight though.

Yeah, if I got this motor I'd be getting something that would carry a bigger battery. The F-4 isn't really worth modding.

The F-16 would probably be perfect, but I'm thinking maybe the A-7..

I like the 16, I've flown 3 of the HL's. I prefer them slightly smaller though.

Sounds like you want a HET, those are smaller than the HL 16 but bigger than the Phase 3.

More expensive though...

Darnit, I know I'm picky but I'm only now realizing just how badly

I do like the red & white F-20, though!!

How about this one? http://www.x-flight.hk/e/products/pr...=XFP-FG-FALCON It's a direct knock off of a HET but cheaper, I'm not sure where but I think you can get them state side.

4 more flights on the BI 3600...i flew it with a 2350,3200,4900 mah 4s batts ...the plane did'nt even know they weigh different amounts ...huge c/g range on this bird makes it easy to do testing .

I had the pleasure of installing mine in a new 6904 fan....what a suprise as I was a lil over half throttle, checking for blade rub when impeller shoots off and flies across the room! Weeeeeeeeeeeee I hope my F-16 is half as fast as the blades flight was!!

I also wanted to give you a preview of the Wicked Plus EDF motor. This is a slightly larger version of the current Wicked EDF motors but a little longer and bigger in diameter and is intended for the 600-800 watt range. There are a lot of twin EDFS these days and a pair of these will be a good fit or a great power boost for the many 64mm sized ARFS. I am waiting for my batch of shafts to arrive and will post some numbers. This will be available in several KV values as well as shaft size, 3mm, 1/8", and 4mm.

happy 4th to all...i got 3 more flights on the Ray and 2 good flights on the HP F-16 with the wemo BI-3600 combo ...i just added a Don's R/C esc (60 amp)....i had the whole power system out and back in with the new ESC in about 5mins ...love the ease at which i can change out motors/fans and esc on this bird ..the vert in the 16 was awsome ....it went straight up ...i had to cut power as my ole eyes could'nt see it very well anymore .it's faster than it was on the old heli motor also.sweet set up for the HP F-16...on a sad note...today in our little town of Tehachapi Ca.,we have a group of L-29's come to town to over fly the city parade in close formation ...during a afternoon flight 1 plane crashed on a street in a rual area of town ,2 people died...not much info yet ...at 4pm the 2 remaining planes left for home ...the 2 that left where lighter colored ....my thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the downed plane.sounds like they had a proplem and the pilot put it on the road ...just speculation on my point.
