Spark arrestor

First, let me say that the A60-24s, X-80 ESC, 10s, 20x13 APC in a Funtana X100 is really performing. Thanks for your help picking out the setup.

How long should I wait between connecting the spark arrestor wire and connecting the full battery pack?

Currently, I have two 5s packs in series with the spark arrestor connected inline. Therefore, when I connect battery pack 1, it hooks the possitive side of that 5s battery to the spark arrestor. When I attach battery pack 2, it completes the circuit. However, when I connect battery pack 2, there is a spark.

Is that normal?

Thanks,
Danny Clark

Spark arrestor wire should hooked up last. First hook up the two 5S packs in series black of one to red of the other. Next the open black wire to the ESC first. Spark arrestor wire next the last the red power wire. There should be no spark.
