Callie is supposed to be making decals for Cripes-a-mighty 3rd, but she has not posted them yet.

My airframe kit will be a bluenose in the next few days. Where is the best place to get the tamiya paint that you used Moonbeam ? I was either going to do Cripes the 3rd or Big Beautiful Doll. The checker board nose on BBD would be pretty hard to do though.

Oh there is a line there that I so want to use, but I'd have to report myself then.

I've picked up mine at 4 different hobby shops including Hobbytown USA.

What would be cool, is when everybody gets their paint schemes done, is have a post that displays them by group. 357th, 352nd, 361st, etc.

We have three gunfighters and they should all be in different schemes.

Dave.
Consensus on the SK 910 motor in the T-28 forum is it is lacking on power. A report on the 1400kv is better but needs a smaller prop.

I guess same plane to different people. One thing I really enjoy about my p-51 is now nice it flys and a real slow speed. like 1/4 throttle. I like to make some real slow passes doing a wing rock, then point it up and go vertical from that slow speed, I get a shot of that in my video I posted. It'll go up fast and as high as I want(it's not stock).

If you are having control speeds at slow speeds, might check your COG, I have mine back about 3" to 3 1/8" from the LE. Nice flat inverteds.

It does fly well at high speeds to!

Mine came in stock with a auw of 23.4 oz. The slow speed handleing was great. I have since crashed and did lots of repairs adding to the weight. Its now 26.9oz. It has hurt the slow speed flyabilaty of it some but still flys well. My brother corsair is now flying a little slower than mine(where as before the mustang would fly slower)

I would check the CG if you are having slower speed issues?????

Here is a simple drawing of the mount. Basically a traced stock motor mount, with a little more added on top for the X mount. I centered the X mount over the center motor hole of the stock mount, then marked the X mount holes. The #4 marked holes are so you can put a screwdriver through them to attach the motor to the X mount after you have the screws mostly adjusted. The 6-32 machine screws are pretty close to the motor. The #5 marked holes are just a few I put in to lighten the mount some. In another mount I made for a friend I put even more of the lighten holes.

You could also purchase and use the gold turnigy mount, the X mount hole pattern is larger but it gives you more room to work with the nuts. The aluminum is 3/16 thick, cut out with a simple hack saw and rounded off on a grinder. Then sanded smooth on some 220g sandpaper. I've got it down to about 15 minutes to make one.

I built up an airframe kit so I don't have the stock esc. But on my Turnigy 40a esc I did set the brake. I found on other planes it will help save a prop or 2. If you can figure out how..I would set the brake.

Actually think I can hold off on this one unless I can sell the Sukhoi. this might have been more what I was looking for, looks a little heavier and faster than the sukhoi though. Interested in the flight reports, looks like you can't buy them yet...Backordered on the HH site.

I really want to hold of for the larger Sukhoi 480 that's brand new.
