Alright i did my first attempt at using wbp. I like it. i like i can tape paint lines off with out worrying about the paint lifting so easy afterwards. I have a couple pin holes. No big deal. I should have did one more coat, I did two light ones. i learned real fast that when color sanding the edges of the sandpaper quickly dig into / scrape the foam and leaves impressions, DARN. And i was being super careful i thought.

Glad i tried it. Great foam painting tip!

Next subject. QUESTION------------
When using a dolly to launch how do you configure the plane or dolly so they hook together and come apart on lift off. Any pictures out there????????

thanks in advance.

I have always had someone to hand launch it and its never been an issue. I was gonna do the dolly but the launches have been uneventful so I'm sticking with it.

Par just launch it left handed with the throttle wide open that way your thumb is on the stick all the time or find a buddy who will launch it for you. Mine just leaps out of my hand or whoever is throwing it.

My Newest Squall

Didn't take any pictures of the build...Should have but oh well. Still awaiting NOS Energy Drink Logos but what do you think so far? It is reinforced with carbon fiber rods everywhere lol. Added the Morganmill skid and extension scoop. Also made the elevons out of balsa and the wing tips are balsa, smoothed it out and covered in Liquid Sheeting from WOWplanes. Then painted in Testors enamel colors, Gloss Custom Blue Metal Flake over Chrome base. Then Competition orange base with Lime Gold Metalflake on top and Gloss White and Black and then pinstriped. Having BadBradGraphics make me up NOS Energy logos. Will be powered by a HET 2W-20 and a Wemo from Gary at Effluxrc.com
