New to this model

Picked one up from Hobby People, the 4s version for 69.00 on the Black friday sale.
I have a couple of questions before I build it, first the fan and motor
I want to use this fan;
Change Sun 10 blade 70mm
http://www.pw-rc.com/product_info.ph...oducts_id/2481

with either this motor

Dynam Meteor motor
http://www.nitroplanes.com/60p-014-bm2826-kv3000.html
I have two of these

or this motor

Sapac 2842d 4s motor 3200kv
I have one of these

and these servos

9G EXI Digital Metal Gear Servo D213F

http://www.hobbypartz.com/9gexidimeges.html

oh yeah 120 amp esc
Sky Lipo 4s 40c 3000mAh batteries

I will be coating most of the plane with Finishing epoxy, using 1 dram epoxy with 1 dram of hardener mixed with 1/2 dram of 91% alcohol to thin is out a little and help it lay down smoother. This I have tried before and like the results.

Please give me your thoughts.

sorry cant help you with your fan choice or motor as i dont know them ,
just make sure you beef up the inlet scoop a bit as they take quite a bashing on landing.

apex , my scoop was copied from either a post on this thread or on the speed thread some one posted ! works a treat landings are so much better the plane just slides in nice !

the lawn dart was my fault i set the battery in the wrong position and cog was to far back , flew a lovely loop on launch lol

WBPU works about the same only no mess and water clean up! Plus I like to lightly sand off the mould flowers and fill voids after the first coat. Two coats overall with a foam brush makes a nice sub finish for color. Carbon rods down the belly are a must.
Think about that 3000 kv motor I've been reading the CS 10 blade does better on slightly lower Kv on 4s, good C' rating helps also

King I see you got the scoop!

the scoop is totally cool

i used .6 oz glass cloth and wbpu on mine with a carbon rod under the nose , its well worth the time for the extra strength it gives the airframe

Guys...does anyone other than Hobby People sell this aircraft?

They don't seem to offer an air-frame only and the kit with motor/fan/esc is too much $ considering I want to run a custom power system.
