I have a 4S squall on the way, and some Dymond D200 servos, 16 grams but loads of torque and awesome centering. Probably going to use 450 heli ball links, Carbon rods and G-10 control horns with the servos horizontal in the wing.

Also have an AR500, should work fine.

Just need Batts and probably a BEC, I dont usually trust built in BEC's switching or not.

For batts Im thinking Neupower 4S 2500 35/60C if they still have any by the time I order them. Dont feel like waiting for Zippy's, and the Blue lipos are out of stock forever it seems.

Anything else I should be aware of? Anyone have a VT they want to sell, $40 is steep for what you get, thats another Lipo pack!

For the time being, well kindof, I never build anything stock!

Stock fan motor and esc. will probably glass some of it and add some reinforcements, trying to keep it light. Im more for speed, Ill leave 3D to my planks I can torque roll and rolling harrier an inch off the ground.

Well, the airframe won't need any of that reinforcement unless you plan to cram +1500 into it. A carbon spar in the floor of the battery tray will help keep the nose from braking off on landings, that's all yo need really. A Morgan mills kit will also add lots of underbelly protection. If you want to keep it light, no glass and no heavy linkages!

The stock 4S equiptment will get you about 90mph. The tv unit will only slow you down. With a little foam removal you can get a nice 70mm fan in there. 1200 watts with the stock airframe will get you around 130.

Ill bet my slop free Ball link/Carbon linkages are lighter than stock.... I might just glass a small section of the belly pan, Lots of dirt lawns at parks around here.

dylwad, You're right on the linkage idea but thats too much for a 4" linkage and way too much drag for any speed gain. If anything change the horns to du-bro 1/2A and metal clevis. Lay the servos flat but leave them in the stock position if you plan on a TV unit. As far as light goes? Its a very forgiving platform, it floats forever it doesn't mush in until your really slow so weight really isn't an issue, the MorganMills pan by GLM is a good investment, get the extention so you don't lawn dart on landing. imho

Thats pretty good. So you have had no problems from them? How many orders have you made with them? And finally, about how long does it take to get it? Sorry for so many questions!
