Just recieved my Hunter this morning (comments in the original thread) but I think they have now figured out who "rod" is and what he does but we still have "servo cords" and a "wing pin" (pitot tube) and you definitely need to "screw up the control horn" and "try to install the main wing" !

In my opinion the instructions are very poor related to what has to be done. The photos are too broad in their detail and have no contrast so picking out detail is impossible e.g. the link-up photos on page 10, who knows what they are trying to point out? But then I don't suppose this kit will be bought by someone who hasn't built a few models already.

Now, lets go play with the parts some more ----!!

I've always downloaded the pdf instructions from the lander site, you can generally zoom in and the colour photos help a lot ?

you can't beat a build thread though :-)

Power??

Got Mine ordered thru Robert at EJF.
I'm planning on using the Neumotor 1112/1.5y
Wemotec Fan

Can I use 6s packs? I've got some heli packs that I'd like to use and would really, really use judicious power management. I've got the 80A speed control from castle as well, and would use an seperate BEC

Thanks!

Hawker Hunter

Gents,

Busy building mine before i sell them to make sure they fly right etc
Agree on the seriousely tight pushrods, and the need for epoxy at rear of nose for strength.
i have installed a 6s1p lander fan in mine giving 1300 watts
They messed up big time on the flap servo inserts as previousely mentioned, i will mix mine with the radio .
The nose gear to set up took me 3 1/2 hours alone to get there damn thing to work right and be smooth, using the 3 servo slower i sell to make the gear move at scale speed and to have one wheel slightly slower the then the other on the mains

Guys have a look at the thread title and feel free to start your own thread if you want to promote your own business.

Back to the Hunter build...
I am working on the tail section right now and should have more pics and notes in half a day or so.

Hunter

Extreme, who is promoting business.

We discussing the hunter and being able to fly it at a model show.
The fact i sell them is irrelevant. i just happen to mention i liked to test them before i sell them nothing more,
I have discussed nothing but the hunter oh and mentioned a tomcat.
But i didnt reaslise after nearly 1000 posts on here i had to stay totally on the subject
I am also building one and as i find things good or bad about it i will mention it.

Start your own build thread if you want to discuss model shows and F14's etc, dont clutter up my build thread, its not called the "anything goes generic hunter build thread" is it?
