this what I have going on

Here is where I am at right now. What did you guys do in this part of the plane? On the first one the battery kept sliding and holding up the landing gear. Any help on this would be very help full please and thank you

Eric,

First, put some velcro on the wood tray, then put some on the bottom lipo. When you put the batteries in, slide the bottom lipo forward, and counteract the shift by moving the top lipo back an equal amount.

Here is a picture of the battery compartment on my Hunter.
I used separate rudder and nose steering servos to keep the push rods a straight as possible. In this picture you can see 4 servos. Rudder, elevator, nose steering and nose retract.

Okay I understand what you are saying. But did you have a velcro strap around the wood tray too? You know there is another wood plate that came in the kit and it fits in the jsut right but it is not level with the one that holds the landing gear. So I did not think it should be put in there. As you can see I am almost done with the plane just some gluing the rods holders down and hooking up wires. Then it is time to button up the whole fuselage you know glue the two halfs together and I would like to get this battery thing taken care of now please and thanks.

I got it now thanks guys

Just some glue and velcro on the wood and the battery and I don't think they will be going any where. And the wood doen not bind on any of the control rods for the retrack or the steering. Thank you

With the fullymax batterys it was spot on at 160mm. No weight was needed but if you run a different battery then that won't be right. And you know you or I like my jets to be a little tail heavy to keep them from comming in so hot on landing. I am sure other people wil have other ways of doing it.

162 mm with my 2 zippy 3s 3300s back as far as they will go. I was pleased not to end up with a forward C/G problem with this setup.

I am flying at 175 now and she rolls really axially, much better inverted but still needs a bit of down to maintain level flight.

So somewhere between 160 and 175 ..... Ill have to see where I end up when I get both packs in place later this evening. Im not a big fan of the offset battery tray RCLander has utilized for this kit ..... seems silly to reduce the amount of surface area you have to mount the battery to, but then again with 2 velcro straps and velcro between the packs I really don't things will move about......

158 - 162 is where mine comes in at with the 2x 3s 3300mah packs in it. Hopefully maiden on Saturday if I can work out the last minute stuff.

Im running thr RCLander 6s setup, and saw a burst of 1090W and around 49A on freshly charged packs. Im certain they will perform better after they heat up, and have a cycle or two on them. Should go good!
