Woops, put MS in the wrong column... They are available at MSCompositusa as well as a lot of other shops. From what I understand, they are not planning on making the new Champion blades in this size...

Helimax definitely look interesting, wonder how stiff they are? Towerhobbies doesn't seem to stock them though...

Wow the MAH's definitely are oinkers

We are just starting to get stocked on parts, elektrorc.com and gothelirc.com will be stocking spares. 6s 3800 will be on the heavy size but usable. I'm taking my 6s 3300's from the Protos to use on here...

My flybarless Sniper landed on UK soil last night and reached the local ParcelForce depot this morning. The status is now Out for Delivery so I should have it Monday morning.

huh? heavy with 6s 3850s, man everyone is going the wrong way with there concepts of what the heli should weigh. 6s 3850s on a logo 500 was a mild setup only, Too short of a flight time if a hot setup. and now you saying its too heavy for a 470 size heli. I wonder is SWE makes a 470 blade. they are very close to how maniac blades run

A Logo 500 is really more of a shrunken Logo 600 (they share the same frames), as such, it is a bit heavy for a 500mm bladed heli (same with the Logo400, it's based off a Logo10 frame, but running shorter blades).

Snipers are the exact opposite, they are similar in weight to the 425mm bladed heli class, but run longer blades. You can make power a few different ways, the Sniper makes it with low disc loading, where the Trex500 and others in the 425-435mm blade class (Lepton, Atom, HDX, etc) make the "pop" power with cranked headspeed, which has parasitic blade drag drawbacks in power consumption requiring larger capacity packs to compensate.

On my Sniper V1, I ran (and still run) 4s 3700mah, and can cruise for up to 18min, or kick into high idleup for 8 min of tearing around (used to be able to do more, but my packs are 2.5 years old now and getting very tired). My Sniper V1 came out to 1565gr AUW on those packs (over 300gr lighter than my friend's Lepton with the same packs, in fact, my Sniper is/was about the same RTF weight as his airframe without battery pack).

The new Sniper V2 is rated to higher headspeed than my V1 (I was at the limit at about 2300rpm in high idle), so it all depends what you want to get out of it, I'm sure the Sniper V2 running 2600rpm (or more) on your packs would have plenty of punch (and still have near rediculous duration, even in 3D), even with the higher AUW.

6s2600 packs would be about the perfect midrange packs for most flyers runing moderate headspeeds, only about an ounce more than my 4s3700, but higher voltage so more efficency and power. For those who choose to crank up to near the max rating of 2800rpm, I think stepping up to >3000mah 6s packs would be prudent (if only to help tame the extra twitch of that headspeed by increasing the weight of the heli ).

I've been snooping all around that site... I was concerned that they list the blades at max 2200 RPM... (I emailed them yesterday)
