Nice, looks like they are using the same spacers from the tail fin mounting. Any idea of the frame mod kit release date?

The reason I haven't done that to my Sniper I, is that I was concerned with reducing the rigidity of the frame so near the mainshaft. Now that the factory has done exactly what I was planning that gives me more confidence in cutting in that area, I think I'll finish up modding my 2nd Sniper I (I've had 3 9650's sitting in my toolbox for a while now, and a 2ft x 2ft section of CF plate).

They are available right now!

There is no part # for them yet, but if you want one drop me an email.

The blue Align 510 servos, match the blue frame bits

I almost bought the Airtronics as well... I was procrastinating and this time it actually helped me out, heh.

Did you open them up, maybe you can return them?

I didn't expect this to happen so quick, I just asked him about using these servos on Sunday...

Oh yea, I opened them. That's what I get for wanting to have all the parts on hand when the Heli arrives . Oh, by the way, I hope to be picking mine up at the Post Office tomorrow morning, Thanks Pete

I just mailed out Matt's Sniper last night, and the box is GiNorMous. It's twice as big as the Sniper I box due to the 1-piece canopy, so there was plenty of room to drop (2) 6S 2200mAh Hyperions in for the ride

I saw the ship notice late last night. Now I keep checking every hour or so for the delivery date. Should be Saturday, if history is any guide. This time my wife knows the postman is bringing it - technically she's buying it for me as a Father's day/B-Day combo. Gotta love a girl that supports (maybe I overshot a bit - tolerates, perhaps) your hobbies...

All the electronics are here, tested and ready for install. Those Hyperions will drive a Kontronik Kora 15-14 thru a Spin 44. Servos are Futaba S3155 and 9257/GY520 on the tail. Should land under 1,700 grams by some rough calculations. (Thanks, Kai for your ideas/guidance on the setup).

I am looking at importing some blades for the Sniper...

I have always liked the BBT's but can't seem to find any in the states...

What has everyone else been using and is there an interest in something other than the stock MS blades? (Too much flex for my tastes...)

What options are there? I know anything for the ECO 8 will work, but I don't think there is much in that space...

Heli-Max got 470mm carbon blade. The core is in wood so its stronger then MS blade. Quality is OK though, not exellent. But they are cheap.

You can also found MAH blades, 463mm long.

I use MAH 463 ,a little heavy but extremely rigid.

I think the "good "ones are Maniacs ,also from BBT .Also they sell "2wahl" B quality with minor cosmetic defects .

Thanks guys; so far we have:

These should be easy to get:
Heli-Max 470
MAH 463
MS 470

No so easy:
BBT 480 - Maniac not made in 470-480 size - had BBT's on my Raptors and liked them
GCT 475 (variety of types)
Helitec 465 (1st and 2nd quality options)

Helihobby.com has the MS Composit 470s (both FG and CF), HeliMax 470s and MAH 463s listed on their site.
