According to the title of the video, it is of a "HK-450 w/TT Super Cobra". That would seem to be proof that you can.

You have to do some major mods to the tail boom as the TT is 14mm and the T450 is 12mm,one slides in the other kinda. The fuse has to be moded to as the main gear set is higher in the airframe and you have to make your own canopy pins. Those are the major one but as with everything in this hobby thare is some massaging to get it to look right.

TT on EXI

Here's a video of one that I did. As cap said, new mounting rods, new main gear cutout, gun mounted directly to body instead of frame. For the tailboom I just turned a sleave to use a a shim for the tailboom. Then cut the EXI tailboom to the right length. Lining it up for trimming is the toughest part.

Thanks for the clarification. When this fuse came out I asked BT when he was doing the build, and he told me that it was TT specific. So I'm glad that it can be done.

I wanted to put a blade 400 in it and that might be harder to do.

That's because he don't know no better, he's a CCF (credit card flyer) if he can't buy it off the shelf all ready to go then it can't be done. You could do a blade 400 it's just going to take some work after all that's why it's called a hobby. I have mine setup to come apart easily so if you need detailed pics PM me and I will post them on "Pitch Curve" thread.

Most but maybe not all fuselages in the same class may be capable of fitting most helicopter chassis in the same class IE. 450. There may be some hurdles with some helicopters , especially those where the tail boom braces cant be removed (seen on some Walkera Helicopters such as the 60), but they can be shortened. Half the fun is modding

Ha! Ha!
That's about right. I am a RC Helicopter Flyer, not a model builder!
I prefer to spend my time flying my heli's, not tinkering with them on the bench for months to years.

I never said it could not be done, and I'm pretty sure that I stated that others have done it, and it required a lot of modifications.

Sorry, I just don't understand the point of doing things the hard way, when the right parts are readily available.

Enjoy your bench time, I'm going outside to fly!

I beg to differ

I spend an average of 4-5 months engineering and designing my helis to fly until the blades fall off, and once they go up then they never go back to the bench unless they crash. which has yet to happen on the MB-7 and MB-8, knock on wood.

I'm lucky if my helis get off the bench without the blades falling off

Yeah right, you take your time too man and your helis are pretty sweet as well. I really like the red one you did! that thing was very well thought out IMO.
