CR...are you using any gyro stab on the 4 blade head of that 407? Awesome collection of helis.

It is set up 140 CCPM using a BeastX 3 Axis gyro

I'm just starting into FBL realm ....got a Helicox and a FBL head kit for my little 450 Jet Ranger. Hope to have nice enough weather to give 'er a go.

I like that color!

I just can't get into the multi blades anymore. Maybe because I went 100% with 5 blades. In the air it looked the same and on the negative side the helis flew even faster and more unscale like.

I also do 3D for more of a challenge. Don't get me wrong! People don't see that real scale flying is much harder than 3D in my book. I bet if I only did scale the big challenge would be to fly a nice five blade really slow with smooth motions. I just don't have the patience.

When you go multi, heavier blades (preferably not symmetrical) and lower headspeed is the key to smooth, scale flight...

Thanks guys. Yeah, I believe both take some real time to master......only 3D I've ever done was by accident....lol I agree with ya though on scale.....I like the challenge to fly "realistic" moves. I'm an A&P and have been around helis and plane all my life....guess that's carried over in the models.

Heres my budget build Airwolf, I was a bit disappointed in the color, but for the price I'm not gonna sweat it.

I got under $300.00 into the whole thing and it flies beautifully.

Color is not bad. If I recall the real one was in all three colors at one time. The pilot movie it was black. after sparrowhawk stole it back they made it dark gray, and when they tried to unsuccessfully bring it back with a new cast it was dark blue.

It's like bluethunder. The name of the movie was the operation and not the helicopter. So in the movie it was black and when they made the TV show obviously the director asked (in a gay voice) where is my bluethunder this isn't bluethunder. So they repainted it blue. You can still see the shell in back of universal studios and for TV they must of used cheap paint because all the blue is flaking off with the black showing threw like they did no prep work and just sprayed it down.

I never saw that movie, it was during a strange time in my life, but I'm downloading it now. Thanks for the heads up mhills51, I'll be watching it this afternoon..

That was a cool show........that modified Gazelle was interesting.....but the storie was excellent.
