Thanks! I left the rocket pod off until I make sure the retracts work out. That way I don't have to worry about it tipping over if I need to make a belly landing.

Bo 105 for V120D03 and mCPX

Here is my new model - a Bo 105. In it works a Walera V120D03. Can also fly with a mCPX, but better in brushless version.
It is a german kit.

Well mine is up and running. Can't wait, the local scale fun fly is Oct 13th and 14th. Mine won't even stick out there. Needs to be four times the size and 1000 times more detailed, but mine will the the one in the air! !

One thing you can do to reduce air speed it to reduce your pitch and swash angles to a more sedate level. Try to work with pitch angles around 7 to 8 degrees and swash to about 6 or 7. Remember that most of our scale helis do have some forward tilt in the rotor (up to 5 degrees in most but it does vary) so that at fairly low swash input levels, you should be able to move quite nicely in forward flight. I find that I am flying mostly at hover pitch setting and that if I put too much pitch in any given maneuver, the heli will really start to boggie. Also, add copious amounts of exponential to reduce the touchiness of the controls. Hope this helps.

Don

I hovered it for a few seconds first and ended up right away putting about -10 (futaba) after that flight I upped the expo to -20 and -25 on the tail.
