Now that is one nice helicopter..Gotta love the sound of it on start up and the blade sound..Ever thought of putting motor on the side doors ? Would look great to see it close up before take off...

Hey Boys!

I love that electric conversion of the Hirobo Panther....wish I had that puppy. Here is a video of my Hirobo electric conersion AH-1 Super Cobra. The video quality ain't the best, but it's good enough. I'm running an 8S set up at 7400mAh. Also using the CC HV 100amp speed control with dual internal fan system (for internal cooling).

No, it needs the doors open to get enough air for the turbine. It breathes around a bath tab full of air every second.

I know this isn]t exactly scale but how about one to fly in the kitchen. I think my wife would be upset with a 600 or a turbine one in the house

Very cool Mike. You make the neatest micro scalers.

Thank you Boyd. Now if someone could make one that doesn't fly like a Dragonfly on speed life would be great

Sycorax.

nice pictures on your site man ! Nice setup for a big machine.

I also liked the turbine twin jet. That plane must go FASSSTTT !

How much thrust can such a smal turbine develop ?

Thanks :-) The Bell will get some company soon.
The Kolibri turbine does about 1,5 kg of thrust. The TwinJet was measured using GPS at 250 km/h ~ 155 mph , but that's slow. The TwinJet isn't build for high speeds ( it takes it, but the wing profile is too thick ). With a slimer profile, you easily can reach 200mph.

At Cincinnati for the last few days; cloudy, rainy and windy today ... did capture a few still shots and not much flying at all. Align MD500e, Smartmodel Typhoon 5-bladed rotor head.

Hi Guys! I'm new here and I had just finished converting my CopterX 450 to scale. Custom made details include wipers, windshield gaskets, and winch.

It's a bit twitchy at the moment (my current setup is for 3D) so it needs some taming.

BEFORE (A-109)

AFTER (Converted to MH68A)

Wow! this is very very very nice, you did a god job on the wipers. Did you make them from scratch or are they from a kit?
Your paint work is fantastic

Wow! Pretty looking A109...or should I say MH-68A Stingray!

EDIT: Not only the wipers... even the windshield has the rubber insulator around it!!

Everything you see was made from scratch, or came from household items (like strainers for the engine grille) etc. The paint I used is only canned spray (I don't have an airbrush), which I often use in my static scale models.

I have a FULL detailed build log of this (accumulated pictures over the span of a year that I made this. It shouldn't have taken that long really, but I have a life too!)

I will post the build log under scale helicopters, but first I have to find a thread where I can post my DIY painting and custom decal application topic as that covers the basics for painting and custom decal making.

I'm no expert, but I'm willing to share whatever little I know to help others bling out their helis!

EDIT: I just posted my first DIY painting tip a while ago. Please check it out in the link I provided. It's the same method I used in painting my MH68A: DIY Themed Canopy Painting (using spraypaint and decals)

EDIT: And here's the complete build log for my MH68A. Enjoy! Custom MH68A Coastguard
