Because that's what they probably want. The more hits they get, the more
money sponsors will be willing to pay to have their logo and pop-up ads
(blech!) on their site. I don't know for sure if that's what this guy is
doing, but that's usually the case for those types of things (where there is
nothing on the page other then a hello).
