Oakdale Califronia Jet Rally **E-Jets Only now**

Hey Guys,
I just got a new club flyer and oakdale will be holding there jet meet after all.
Here's the clip from the news letter:

" WOW! It looks like we will be having a jet rally after all. The jet rally will be held July 18 and 19 at the field, and will be hosted by both our club (Radio Control Flyers Unlimited) and Delta Valley Modelers. A large portion of the event will be sponsored by Tamjets. You can visit them at www.tamjets.com on the web. They are an exclusive company of jet models and accessories."

As a memeber of this club I can tell you, you would have a hard time finding a better flying site than this one. 1000 ft paved runway with unlimited air space. Overnight camping next too Woodward Reservoir. There is no power so us electric guys need to bring our own charging stations. I'm really excited to fly this year and will be there both days.. I just hope it's not 110 like last year

The town of oakdale is only 15 minutes away with hotels and food
This is only the second year for this meet and I wouldn't think it would be all the huge... which mean lots of flying for all!!

I was talking to Russ lastnight about this event. I'm thinking bringing the family doing camping trip.
If Russ go. He bring the ski boat and we might rent the RV to stay at the field.

Thanks for letting me know about it. All I have flying right now for warbirds is the Hanger 9 P-51 Miss America .. some meets won't let non-military shcemes fly.. (I'll have to give them a call) I'm still working on a gaint scale P-51... I do have the Tam Jets A-4 and the Sapac T-45
The A-4 might be tough in traffic with warbirds... so not to sure about that one... sounds like a good time.. I'll see what they say about the Miss America

I think I'll come out .. this will give me a chance to get used to your flying site
I've never flown there and the Hanger 9 is the easiest plane I have to fly..
get used to dropping in over those trees..

Are you going to be out there Tam?

Yes, Oakdale is one nice flying site! I live in Dallas, Texas and went to stockton to visit inlaws for two weeks, so I looked up Delta valley modelers and found Jose. I ask him to teach me to fly out in Oakdale with his trainer. This was about 3 years ago I think when Jose just got the Tamjet F-16 turbine ( he was kinda nerves flying the thing). Well any way I have to have to say BIG THANKS TO JOSE. Now today I have a Tamjet F-16 1/12 electric of my own

. Looks like I have to tell my wife I REALLY miss my mother law in JULY

yeah jon is top notch! you should see some of his pics and vid from the old' days! those were good times. im assuming this event is in the bay area? thats a long drive....but may be doable.

How about basic white A-4 EDF kit for lucky guy with winning ticket.

Now put it down on your calender.
One of you come home with the A-4 EDF kit.

Are you going to be out there Tam? Ron
